:That was a hard, hard call - but it pretty much came down to TWTT or a Combo when all was said and done, and I don't believe Brawl can survive without at least one decent combo. I decided that, for the moment anyway, he was the Warmaster, but not necessarily the Master Sensei, so I made sure he had the best of the troop-leading Performance Charms and decided to leave the mass creation of living killing machines to Tobias, the "somber Paladin" who canon suggests is the TWTT guy at Kether Rock. − | :So you were trying to fit him under the 200XP cap, then? Forgive me if I'm asking an already-answered question, but is there a reason that 200 stuck out as a target number, other than its 'roundness'? While I agree that perhaps Tobias is the man of the TWTT, leaving a perfectly accurate reason for Michael not to bother, I'd think the whole point of this exercise is to stat them out as the flavor text indicates, not hit an arbitrary XP target. Still, as long as anyone using Michael (and/or Tobias) in their game recognizes the reasoning behind Michael not being TWTT-enabled, I'm happy. It is sound reasoning, after all. - GregLink, now happy. | + | :So you were trying to fit him under the 200XP cap, then? :: Well, as far as 200 xp goes, I picked it because, when I tried to remake Michael as currently statted, I managed it at 173 xp, so I decided he was probably intended to represent a 200 xp character (since I was using all sorts of ridiculous, twinkish tricks to get the most bang for my xp buck). So the idea was to recreate him approximately as he had been intended, but, y'know, better. ;) Plus there's the fact that a non-PC who has only been Exalted for 4-5 years really shouldn't, in my opinion, have even 200 xp - I was only happy with the 200 mark because he's supposed to be rather uber. - 14 motes, 2 Willpower, +3 motes per attack reduced, +1 mote per roll to regain Essence
- When activating this Combo, Michael gains 4 additional Brawl attacks this turn (his Permanent Essence), as well as an additional +1 Accuracy and +2L damage on each attack, but can only target one opponent with these attacks. All successes on these attacks count double for the purposes of determining damage. Should Michael be attacked on the turn he uses this Combo, he may spend 1 mote to roll a die for every die of damage he would take before soak. Each success on this roll grants him 4 motes of Essence (his Permanent Essence) but he cannot benefit from more than 4 successes in this fashion (his Stamina). After the damage is reduced by his soak, he may further reduce it - down to the attacker's Permenant Essence - by spending 3 motes, but can only choose to do so if he was aware of the attack in the first place.

Notes
This version of Michael was built on 200 experience, unless you count his Backgrounds. If you do, either increase his experience level by 36 points or drop his Backgrounds to Artifacts 3, Illumination 3, Mentor 2, Tiger Warriors 2. I have the version of him as a starting character I used as the beginning point - I might post it if someone asks nicely. - Hapushet
Discussion
As a side note, I absolutely love this project. Keep it up. On a direct note, I like what Michael's got going for him, but I wonder - why no Tiger-Warrior training? Seems he is the big trainer at Kether Rock, so he should be the guy who can pump out the trainees like nothing, right? - GregLink
- That was a hard, hard call - but it pretty much came down to TWTT or a Combo when all was said and done, and I don't believe Brawl can survive without at least one decent combo. YMM most definitely V. - Hapushet
