The King of Kings

Golden King’s Coronation
Cost: 10 motes, 1 Willpower
Duration: Indefinite
Type: Simple
Minimum Performance: 5
Minimum Essence: 4
Perquisite Charms: Respect Commanding Attitude, Majestic Radiant Presence, Glorious Rulership Style
For this Charm to be used, there must be a crowning ceremony in which at least two native gods of the land and one Terrestrial of each Aspect are present and which the majority of it’s citizens support. They weave his essence into the very fabric of the land, tying the destiny of the land to that of the man, binding them so tightly that the one cannot exist without the other. Both gods are absorbed into the Solar’s soul, existing still beyond him as aspects of his soul and displaying as images within his anima. His joy becomes it’s bounty, his rage it’s terrible fury, his sorrow it’s wilting despair. For as long as he remains within his kingdom, the Solar regains essence twice as quickly from rest and heals three times as swiftly from any wound. He adds 1 dot to all Physical and Social Attributes.

However, his binding to the land see’s it suffer as he does. Any time the Solar undergoes a Limit Break, the land rises up as well. His rage may trigger massive earthquakes. His sorrow may drown the earth in flood. His listlessness may see the fields wilt no matter how well tended. It is up to the Storytellers discretion how these effects manifest, but they should always be as epic as the passions of the Solar himself.

Note

Additional Charms which have Golden King’s Coronation as a perquisite can be found in Solar Survival and Solar Bureaucracy

Soldier's of Light

Soul Sworn Servant
Cost: 10 motes, 1 Willpower
Duration: Indefinite
Type: Simple
Minimum Performance: 5
Minimum Essence: 4
Perquisite Charms: Golden King’s Coronation, Heroism Encouraging Presence
This Charm allows a Solar to bind his mortal subjects to him, just as he binds himself to his land. In ritual ceremony, the Solar must symbolically imbue each of them with some small essence of himself; this could be anything from making each swallow a drop of his blood to giving them golden spurs as he knights them (the details should be determined by the player and the Storyteller). These subjects, retainers, become extensions of his will, heralds to his words, and guardians of his land.

They each receive a number of specialty dice equal to his Permanent Essence which can be applied to any ability of his choosing and which may stack with any other specialties they possess. They need only rest half as long every night and in his presence, each also gains additional -0 health level. So long as they are within his land, the Solar will know the whereabouts and state of health of each of his retainers. He may also spend 5 motes to see through their eyes or 10 to speak through their mouths, though the retainers will always know when this takes place. A Solar may have two retainers per dot of Permanent Essence he possesses.

Oath of Eternal Service
Cost: 20 motes, 1 Willpower, 1 Heath Level
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Performance: 5
Minimum Essence: 5
Perquisite Charms: Soul Sworn Servant, Memory Reweaving Discipline
A Solar King commands loyalty so deep, not even death itself can deter it. A hero who falls in service to king and country does no pass into Lethe nor fall into the Underworld. Instead, they are drawn into the land and into the soul of the king, surviving as living memory within both. In times of great need, the Solar can call back these heroes of old to serve him once again. By activating this Charm, the Solar King can cause them to manifest beside him on the field of battle, gaining his Permanent Essence to divide between the Henchmen or Command backgrounds for the remainder of the scene. Riding out from the light of his anima, these golden soldiers are idealized versions of themselves, more glorious and beautiful in death than they ever were in life, adding one half of the Solar’s Permanent Essence in dots to their Social Attributes, to a maximum rate of 6.

As extras in combat, the soldiers summoned with Command function as elite troops who cannot fail virtue tests and count all 10s twice when dealing damage to enemies of the kingdom. The Heroic Mortals summoned with Henchmen use the same statistics as they possessed in life and receive the same benefits in combat as the summoned extras do, as well as being considered to have unbreakable perfect equipment of the Solar's choosing. Living memories, rather than mortal flesh or ghostly spirits, they are unaffected by any Charm or Sorcery designed to snuff out mortal life or those that ravage the undead. Only if the Solar King somehow forgets his loyal servants can they truly be destroyed.

Music of Creation

Soul-Invigorating Celestial’s Song
Cost: 10motes, 1 Willpower
Duration: One Day
Type: Simple
Minimum Performance: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Heart-Compelling Method
With this Charm, a Solar can so enchant an audience with her performance as to draw them both body and soul into a state of awakened relaxation. The flows of Essence into their bodies move unhindered by worries and concerns, allowing energy to travel freely through their system. Their skin becoming flushed with a warm radiance and their senses sharpen even as their physical forms begin to move with a languid grace. For the remainder of the day, all who heard or witnessed the Solar’s performance will regain motes of Essence every hour, no matter how strenuous an activity they are involved with. In addition, the Solar rolls her Performance + Compassion and in the first hour the audience regains a number of additional motes equal to the number of successes rolled. Despite the name, this Charm functions with any medium of performance, not simply music.

Comments

Inspired almost entirely by GoldenCat's character Alexander Holysword, some credit for that and some later modifications to these Charms must go to him. We both agreed that they generally straddled the line between Charm and Sorcery, but we both also thought that they felt better as Charms and something that Solars should have. -- Greymane

*Blushes* Thank you! ^_^ I will make sure he will use them! ~GoldenCat
