Lunar Melee Charms

by haren

Natures Living Blade
Cost: 5+ motes
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Min. Wits: 3
Min. Essence: 3
Prereqs: Weapon Shaping Prana, Shaping the Once-Living Form

This Charm enables the Lunar to use the resiliance of life, in a way that can not be matched by a simple unliving form. The Lunar can turn a still living plant (a freshly picked rose would count, but not one two days old for example) into a weapon of any sort for 5 motes, but the advantage is that the living plant is able to channel the Lunar's essence to become a weapon of a sort more fitting to one of the Exalted. They can spend 1 mote to add +1 to either the Speed, Accuracy, Defense, or Damage of the weapon. There is a limit of the Exalt's Permanent Essence in any one trait, except Damage which can be twice the Essence rating. The weapon only exists as long as the Lunar holds it, but can be used as if under Weapon Fusion Method as long as it is held.

Comments

Is there a limitation on the bonuses you can add to the weapon? If I were some terrifying Essence 10 Lunar swordmaster, could I pump 15 points into Accuracy and 15 more into Speed to get ludicrous initiative and attack pools? As far as I can tell, this is sort of a Glorious Solar Sabre for Lunars, eh? - FourWillowsWeeping

Well, actually, it's more like Bone Arsenal Method, just that it has a higher essence cost and no health level cost, but needs the living plant. I added in the limits. I had them planned when I made it, just forgot it. - haren
