The quills are nice, but it would probably be good to specify -how- they help with complex calligraphy and things. Perhaps reducing the difficulty by one or two points, or adding one or two points of automatic success? Remember that perfect tools, which aren't common but are possible to make without TOO much difficulty using only mortal sorcery, can already add +2 dice to a task, and the far more common exceptional tools add +1. If you don't want to add a fairly big bonus, dropping both quills by one point of artifact might be justified. The forgery one is very cool though, I enjo the possibilities for stories it makes very much. For 1m the attuned can change his handwriting to someone elses, for another mote the quill will sign someone elses signature. Mast Growing Stump ~ art 3 ~ Green Jade ~ 5 committed
The stump of a large tree transformed into green jade by powerful sorcery. When placed on the deck of a ship and committed to it roots into the deck and grows a wooden mast, boom, and spars as necessary. If (more like when) the main rigging gets damaged, the stump will repair it at a rate of 1 lethal an hour, including repairing damaged sails and lines. If the mast get destroyed the attuned can immediately grow an all new mast including new rigging (minus sails and lines) for 5 motes and 1 health level worth of fresh blood dropped onto the stump.

Feedback welcome. Please yell at me if i do something wrong!
The mast growing stump is also nicely thematic.
