One problem in Storyteller games trying to deal with information and lore is that players are uncertain how much their characters can know about a given subject without breaking IC limits and the ST simply doesn't have time to tell them EVERYTHING their character knows. So, a simple system is needed to determine what your characters know and what they don't. I have broken down the various books of the Exalted Line into Lore Req Points.
Every dot in Lore gives you two Lore Points which may be spent on knowing the information in these books.

Comments
I like this idea, but how does one increase your lore point pool without getting more lore? Say you had maxed your lore out. A solar or another exalted should be able to exceed the normal limits, its what exalted do.
Specialties would count as dots. And you could make a Charm or something. Or just buy Lore Points for XP. Like 1 XP per point or something. Dunno. - Telgar
