:I don't think a rate reduction is necessary. First of all, it still has utility in medium-range combat and not just extreme-range combat. Secondly, why bother? It's not as if it's a crippling weapon and its damage has suddenly skyrocketed. Personally, I like it, because it lets you turn the EPC into a beam rifle (ala Gundam) instead of just a plasma gun. -- [[Will]]

Essence Pulse Cannon

See Exalted: The Autobots, p101.

Lineation Array: With alterations to the focusing mechanism, this modification changes the energy blasts from the Essence Pulse Cannon to lances of brilliant light. This has the effect of extending their range increment to one mile (whether the Alchemical can see that far is another matter), but will give away the Exalt's rough location in the process of firing. A minimum Essence score of 3 or more is required to install this submodule.

min essence 3? a one-mile range increment is MASSIVE for a starting character at ess 2. Sure, they'd almost never get to use it, but it makes range a non-issue. Also, what other modules is it compatible with please?

Shifted to Essence 3 accordingly; I meant to initially but somehow managed to overlook it - thanks for reminding me. It's compatible with all the others, as I haven't mentioned any conflict; I can't find a particularly compelling reason to dictate otherwise...DeathBySurfeit
