This is a lion that was surgically altered by the Deathknight, Tainted Heart of Gaia, through the use of the Fetter the Beast (Abyssals p.185), Bone Graft Technique (Abyssals p.188) and Flesh-Mending Discipline (Abyssals p.195) Charms.
The outer skin of the lion was covered in overlapping plates of bone tipped with white jade giving it a flexible armor that does not hinder its movement or stealth. The armor gives the lion a soak of 4L/6B, -0 Mobility Penalty and 1 Fatigue. The armor cannot be removed from the beast due to how it was attached, so this causes the creature to take a few days off to sleep and recover from the exhaustion of wearing the armor once a week. A skull-shaped helm has also been crafted to protect the creature's head from injury and vulnerability, it is simply crafted from bone. The helm can be removed and therefore only provides 2L/4B soak since it is not grafted to the creature.
Additional blades have been grafted to the creature. An extra claw has been added to the outside of the lion's front paws. Blades jet out of the sides of the front legs stretching up to the elbow joint. Two large sabre fangs are set into the bottom jaw of the helm and a set of spikes run down the spine of the lion. All of these blades are made from soulsteel and tipped in white jade. As the creature moves it emits a strangle chime-like whistle as the jade echoes the screams and wails of the soulsteel, only when moving at a crawl (stealth to pounce) does it not make noise. Any movement faster than that causes the wailing to grow louder and envelops the lion. When the lion is moving it is hard to perceive which direction the sound is coming from due to it echoing resonance.
By spending a point of Willpower the lion may activate the Magical Materials grafted to it for a scnene. The lion then glows in an unearthly manner, causing white trails of light to blur behind it as it moves giving it the perception of moving faster than it actually is. The blades have two sets of stats, one inert and one activated.
Inert:
Bite: Speed 4 Attack 5 Damage 8L Claw: Speed 5 Attack 6 Damage 7L
Activated: (1 point of Willpower)
Bite: Speed 6 Attack 8 Damage 8L Claw: Speed 7 Attack 9 Damage 7L
The lion's stats are as follows:
Strength 6, Dexterity 3, Stamina 5
Willpower 5
Health -0/-1(2)/-2(2)/-4BujiCreatures/I
Dodge 5
Soak 2L/5B (6L/11B armored body, 4L/9B armored head)
Athletics 2, Awareness 3, Brawl 3, Dodge 2, Intimidation 5, Stealth 3, Survival 3
Gameplay: Easily dropped. One spell of Ice Hornets and the beast fell, finished off in second turn. Use element of suprise and intimidation to stun party. If there is a spell caster, put in dense foliage to add some defense. Intimidation worked wonderfully against PCs, soak did not.

I plan on having a new version of an animal come into play down the road some time later. I may even eventually work up to a human, but I am unsure of this at this point. I am thinking I will alter a larger animal next time and see how that goes first. -Buji
