Caroshi With the Bladed Hands

Anetessa is nearly unable to cause pain, and this is a great trouble to him. He had always had a great deal of difficulty convincing others to undergo his transformations against their will, and so he commissioned the Raneet to build a breed of assistants to work to his will. A mix of his own flesh and blood and that of the Telethi, each Carosh is a sadistic monstrosity, designed to slowly and painfully torment any whom Anetessa wills. Their goal is to harm any being enough that it will willingly submit to Anetessa's treatments on his terms if he is unable to convince them himself. They are singlenminded in their determination, and built specifically for the task. They appear to be short, fairly androgynous and bland looking southerners, although their skin shows flashes of transparency in sunlight, revealing the twisted blackened mass of convulsive and writhing flesh underneath. Each has a long blade which emerges at will from their wrist, dripping with a biting edge of Malfean acid. The vitriol seeps into the wound that they inflict, and proves incredibly painful to those that they strike. Their lips unfold when they desire to be shaped like those of a laprey; with a bite, they can insert their foot long and razor-sharp barbed tongues into their victims, leaving terrible tearing wounds. These are beasts designed solely to cause the greatest of heroes to collapse in pain.

Other notes: Their wrist blades carry acid which inflicts a -3 wound penalty in addition to normal wound penalties to anyone it strikes; anyone who is immune to pain does not suffer from this. Their bites deal aggravated damage which will never heal without magical aid. They inflict a -2 wound penalty in addition to normal wound penalties until healed. Their Stoke the Flame may only make pain more painful, and they use this to great effect.
