Pinesha, who Lives in the Barbed Tangle

There is a place in Szoreny's body, a clearing in the trees that is visible from all locations in him, although nearly unreachable due to an endlessly deep and tall bramble that sprouts thickets of silver spears. If the clearing is reached, one finds a ring of stones among soft steel grass; there is one great stone in the center, and it is her home where she holds court. she stands atop it, and is surrounded by lesser souls who have found their way their with or without intent. They talk of the business of the world, and the course of discussion progresses as she has dictated. None know how long they may rest, for after a time they find that they are walking away of their own volition, travelling back to the troubles they fled from in the first place.

Pinesha is the concept that there is shelter and safety to be found in borders; she is the concept of safe passage through terrifying hazards, and she is the momentary respite in a horrible journey. Her will controls all of the paths through Szoreny's flesh; the trees part and reassemble to make way as she wishes, although unless she has focused on doing so they seem mostly to be random. Pinesha invites many into the flesh of Szoreny when they need shelter, and her brambles part for them. When they arrive, they see her, a tall and fairly androgynous figure whose face is on the back of her head, whose mouth occupies most of her chest, and whose shape is beautiful despite its grotesqueness. Her skin is completely smooth, but cuts flesh as if barbed; and objects pass through her as if nothing.

She has control over the borders between many things; between life and death, between suffering and happiness, between countries and people. She may remove or strengthen these things for a time, but she cannot cause things to suffer intentionally - she can just return them to the troubles they had before, increased treble by her interference.

It has been said that it was Pinesha, with Szoreny's blessing, who invited Isidoris into his body; it is not known from what troubles she was granting him shelter, nor what the consequences of those troubles being increased would be for him, for Malfeas, and for the world.
