If I activate a charm with a duration of 1 turn, when does it's effects end?
House Rules and Suggestions
I see 3 possibilities (feel free to post more), and I'll explain each along with it's pros and cons.
- Until the end of the turn activated
- This seems the most logical on the surface
- Works fine for Reflexives
- Works poorly for Simples like Bulwark Stance and (Dragon Blooded larceny charms to be added later)
- Until next dice action
- Makes Reflexives activated before your initiative very short
- Simples work better
- Presents problems with multiple independent action (which can be delayed separately)
- Until first dice action of the following turn
- Makes Reflexives activated before your initiative very long
- Simples work better
- Myrlan
Comments on the Suggestions
Or 4: Until your initiative on the next turn. This is different from your #3, because a reflexive defense charm used before your initiative could kill lingering turn-longs under #3. -- JohnBiles
- Not unless the reflexive somehow counted as your dice action, but it is different since you could delay your dice action or abort to a defense -Myrlan
