The Peaches of Immortality can restore a character to youth, and give them amazing powers. However, they also gradually transform a character into a god. A single Peach restores a character to the prime of life, removing fifty years from her effective age (to a minimum age of 20; if the character is suffering from age effects, they are reduced by fifty years). A second Peach will do this again, but also has side effects: the character becomes an Inheritance 1 god-blood, gaining the Merits God-Body (3 pts) and Longevity (2 pts). A third Peach increases the character's Inheritance to 3, and adds the Merit God-Body (10 pts). Finally, a fourth peach will cause the character to become a god with an Essence rating equal to her current permanent Essence. Merits gained put the character into experience debt as usual. | The Peaches of Immortality can restore a character to youth, and give them amazing powers. Specific Revised Wonders
Armor
- Perfected Kata Bracers: Starmetal bracers reduce the cost of related Martial Arts Charm by only 1 mote.
Age-Modifying Wonders
- General Note: No combination of artifacts or wonders may cause a character to age more slowly than +50% for mortals and Terrestrials, or +20% for Celestial Exalts, and no combination of artifacts or wonders may add more than (Essence) successes to resist aging. Individual Charms that resist aging are not included in this formula.
Age-Staving Cordials
Taken weekly, age-staving cordials add 25% to a mortal or Dragon-Blood's life, and 10% to a Celestial's life. These effects will slow a Dragon-Blood's aging process (causing them to age one year for every six and a quarter years that pass).
Gem Of Immortality
This gem does not stop aging, but it slows it dramatically. A character with this hearthstone does not display signs of aging outwardly, appearing to remain at the same age indefinitely. In addition, the Hearthstone gives the character a pool of bonus activations; one for every decade that the Hearthstone is worn. One activation may be spent each time the character fails a roll to resist aging; it adds their Essence in bonus successes to the roll after the fact. If that is not sufficient to save the character, she still dies. These activations remain after a character removes the Hearthstone, if she wore it long enough to gain them.
Peaches of Immortality
Exalts who eat the Peaches develop Inheritance as usual, but it also interferes with their natural magics. For every dot of Inheritance they gain, they suffer a 2-mote surcharge to all of their Charms. Upon eating four peaches, their Exaltation flies away as they shed their humanity. They will become a god with an Essence of 2; a former Exalt of Essence 3+ gains a dot of Essence for every two dots of Essence past 2 that she had, rounding down. Such gods are sometimes short-lived, due to the enemies they accrued in their time as Exalts and their newly reduced status.
