Wedding Warrior Charms

(Charm Types as per charm guide on main Kawaii Edition Page. The five basic charms of each tree are described below.

Endurance, Linguistics, Marital Arts, Presence, Socialize are the five specialties of the Wedding Warriors.

The Basic Charms

Basic (Ability) Prana

  • Cost: 1 mote / 2 dice

Add one die for every mote spent to any pool of this Ability, to a maximum of the Magical Girl's Ability. This can be used to build defensive pools with an appropriate combat ability, from a base of zero dice. (IE, it can be used to buy a dodge or parry as appropriate.)

Expert (Ability) Method

  • Cost: 1 mote / 2 dice, +1 / target beyond the first
  • Duration: One Scene
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Ability: 2
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Basic (Ability) Prana

The Magical Girl augments up to her Ability worth of people's pool in an Ability by two dice for every mote spent to a limit of her level in the Ability.

Further boosters cascade off this which increase the size of the group you can affect.

Companion (Ability) Technique

Having failed at an action or just unsatisfied with it, the Magical Girl can choose to re-roll her failure in hopes of a better result.

Specialist (Ability) Technique

The Magical Girl can convert specialty dice on a roll with the relevant Ability to successes at a cost of 2 motes per auto-success.


Master of (Ability)

The Magical Girl can reroll any check in this ability once, for the duration of a scene. She must take the second result if she chooses to reroll.

You are too sexy for anyone to hurt you. Each level of AHBT provides a -1 and one -2 health level. This charm may be taken a number of times equal to your Endurance.


Burn Out Disease

  • Cost: 3 motes

The Magical Girl calls fire into her body to burn out any diseases she suffers from; this destroys any disease whose untreated morbidity rating is equal to or less than her Endurance.


Eternal Flame Method

  • Cost: 1 mote

  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Basic Endurance Prana

The Magical Girl must spend a few minutes meditating over a flame. She then can function for 24 hours without need for rest. If used more than Stamina + Endurance days in a row, however, she stops recovering willpower normally and begins having to burn a point every day. Once her WP is gone, or if she stops using the charm, she falls asleep for a number of days equal to 1/3rd the amount of time she stayed up.


Flame in the Void

  • Cost: 3 motes
  • Duration: Moe Hours
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Endurance: 3
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Eternal Flame Method

The Magical Girl attunes herself to the flows of elemental flame across the land, drawing breath from them instead of air. This allows her to go without breathing for Moe hours. Keep in mind that if you don't breathe, you can't speak, either. (This charm also allows one to do fancy fire-eater tricks.) This attunement also allows her to ignore extremes of heat and cold.


Unstinting Armor Bearance

  • Cost: 5 motes
  • Duration: One Day

The Magical Girl pulls the lightness of flame into her armor, reducing its weight. This lowers mobility penalties by 1 and gives her a bonus to any Fatigue checks equal to her Endurance for the duration.

The Magical Girl whispers a message into a flame and names a target. The next time her target passes close enough to a fire to hear, the fire whispers the message to the target. It can be up to 10 * Moe words long.


Flame Conduit

The Magical Girl and her chosen target must both be close enough to a flame to hear it speak; they can communicate freely through the fire, and everyone else just hears the fire crackling a lot.


Flame's Secret

Working by candle-light, the Magical Girl inscribes a message; the message can only be read by others when bathed in the light of open flame within a few feet of it. It otherwise appears blank. (Mundane messages can be scribed on it when it is out of flame light and they will vanish once flame light falls on it.)


Flame Sigil

  • Cost: 2 motes
  • Duration: One Scene

The Magical Girl can inscribe letters in the air, creating a message of up to 20*Moe words in length. It can be projected up to 20* Moe yards away and scales itself to be easily legible to anyone within that range. The letters continue to burn for the rest of the scene.


Flame's Speech

This strengthens the Magic Girl's ties to the element of Flame, enabling her to speak to any creature of Flame or native to the South, whether she knows their language or not. Fire Elementals will respond positively to her, allowing her to add her Moe to any dice-pools to interact with them.


Voice of Passion

Passion is a universal language. Infusing her voice with passion, the Magical girl gains the power to speak one language family for a scene.


Emotion Conveying Voice

Fiery Love Style


Burst of Passion

Love ignites a fire inside you. Flames of passion burn along your limbs as you strike at a foe. The blow inflicts Lethal damage and adds your Marital Arts to the damage inflicted before soak. (This can be stacked with the boost provided by the Form)


Firey Response

The Passionate respond with passion when provoked. When a foe strikes you, fire springs up where he hit. Roll your Martial Arts; if you hit (and he fails to defend), you inflict Moe + Martial Arts Lethal fire damage on him; he may soak as normal.


Take the First Step

The journey of love begins with the first step. Which often needs to be before someone else moves in on your honey. The Magical Girl can add +1 to an initiative roll for every mote spent, to a limit of her Marital Arts. (However, this charm can be stacked with the Form boost.)

Speed of Passion

Sometimes, you have to chase a lover until he collapses into your arms from exhaustion. This turn, you can take a move of 5 * Moe yards + your base movement as a normal movement action.


Passionate Girlfriend Form

  • Cost: 5 motes

  • Minimum Marital Arts: 4
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Speed of Passion, Firey Response

The fires of love fill you, speeding your acts of love and warming all those around you. You must succeed at a Dex + Marital Arts check to activate this form. If you suceed, for the scene, you inflict Lethal damage with all blows, and add your Marital Arts to pre-soak damage and to initiative for the rest of the scene. You cannot wear armor with this form active.


Attention-Grabbing Kiss

  • Cost: 3 motes, 1 WP
  • Duration: your Marital Arts in turns
  • Type: Subtle/Mental
  • Minimum Marital Arts: 5
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Passionate Girlfriend Form

When you kiss, your lover can focus only on you. On a successful blow, you do no damage; instead, all damage successes become a penalty to all defense pools of the target against anyone but you for your Marital Arts in turns. Multiple uses of this charm is cumulative to a max penalty of your Moe + Marital Arts.


Inspiration of Love

  • Cost: 2 motes
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Subtle/Mental
  • Minimum Marital Arts: 5
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Passionate Girlfriend Form

Love can make a valiant champion out of a mouse. When defending something you love, you may activate this charm and add dice equal to your Compassion to a Marital Arts die pool.

Rejection

  • Cost: 1 mote/+1 soak, 1 WP
  • Duration: One Scene
  • Type: Simple
  • Minimum Marital Arts: 5
  • Minimum Moe: 3
  • Prerequisite Charms: Passionate Girlfriend Form

Sometimes, if someone hurts you too much, you have to dump them, so they can't hurt you any more. For every mote you burn, your Lethal and Bashing soak increases by +1; you can buy up to your Moe + Marital Arts; this soak only works against people who have already hit you during the scene.


Wrath of a Lover

  • Cost: 3 motes
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Subtle/Mental
  • Minimum Marital Arts: 5
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Passionate Girlfriend Form

Once passion ignites as anger, it burns those you lash out at. When you strike someone wearing metal, your blow heats up the metal; in addition to any normal damage, you do your Moe + Marital Arts Lethal damage which can only be soaked by Stamina and Charms. (Degree of success does not affect this damage.)

Love Me Punch

  • Cost: 1 mote/+1 soak, 1 WP
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Subtle/Mental
  • Minimum Marital Arts: 5
  • Minimum Moe: 3
  • Prerequisite Charms: Attention-Grabbing Kiss, Inspiration of Love, Rejection, Wrath of a Lover

Some people don't realize their true feelings until the truth is beaten into them. On a successful hit, your foe soaks with Manipulation + Temperance instead of Stamina + Armor + Charms. If you do any 'damage', compare your successes to the target's Temperance. If your successes equal or exceed the subject's Temperance, they fall in love with you if your Essence is equal to or less than theirs. Just remember that a lover is not a zombie follower, and some people's love is, well, dangerous... They stay in love until you reject them or otherwise kill their love if they are of lower Essence, or for one scene if of equal.

There is a cascade of this charm; each point of Moe added to the Minimum Moe increases the number of subjects by 5. (1 mote / 5 subjects at Moe 3, 1 mote / 25 subjects at Moe 4 and so on.)


Heart of the Soldier

  • Cost: 3 motes / Subject
  • Duration: One Scene
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Presence: 4
  • Minimum Moe: 3
  • Prerequisite Charms: Expert Presence Method

The Heart of a Soldier is dedicated to his officer. So long as she does not retreat, the subjects of this charm will never fail a Valor check. She may spend up to 3 * (Presence + Moe) motes.

There is a cascade of this charm; each point of Moe added to the Minimum Moe increases the number of subjects by 5. (1 mote / 5 subjects at Moe 4, 1 mote / 25 subjects at Moe 5 and so on.)


Compassion-Evoking Plea

  • Cost: 3 motes
  • Duration: One Scene
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Presence: 3
  • Minimum Moe: 2

Fire doesn't stop until it eats away every barrier in its path. The Magical Girl rolls Manipulation + Presence with a difficulty of her target's Conviction. Each success reduces the target's Conviction by 1 for the duration of the scene.


Fear-Inspiring Gaze

A terrifying aura of fire surrounds you, and your voice is amplified to a great bellow. Every foe who approaches within your Moe * 10 feet of you suffers a penalty to all Valor checks equal to your Moe. Those whose Valor drops to zero must make a willpower check with a difficulty of your Presence to oppose you, though they can still defend themselves if you attack them. This does not affect those of higher Moe.


Fires of Passion

Fire draws all to you, like a moth to the flame. Every person who approaches within your Moe * 10 feet of you suffers a penalty to all Temperance checks equal to your Moe. Those whose Temperance drops to zero must make a willpower check with a difficulty of your Presence to resist the urge to do whatever it takes to please you. This does not affect those of higher Moe.

Expert Hostess Method

  • Cost: 5 motes

  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Socialize: 3

  • Prerequisite Charms: Basic Socialize Prana

When you plan a party, no one stabs each other to death before the second course, unless you planned that as part of the entertainment. Reduce the difficulty of all Presence and Socialize checks (by you) when planning a party and during a party you planned by your Moe.

Peace Maker

  • Cost: 5 motes
  • Duration: One Scene
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Socialize: 4
  • Minimum Moe: 3
  • Prerequisite Charms: Expert Hostess Method

The last thing you need at a party is mindless violence, usually. You draw down the flames of passion, reducing them to flames of enjoyment. Roll Charisma + Socialize; anyone wishing to initiate violence during the party you are at must either match your roll with successes on a willpower check or else burn a point of willpower. (Unless they are attacked first)

Gate-Crasher Anticipation Technique

  • Cost: 2 motes
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Re-Fun
  • Minimum Socialize: 4
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Expert Hostess Method

Should anyone crash your party, you are ready. You sense any intrusion by an uninvited guest, defeating all mundane stealth. You know where the guest is and their appearance, if not their identity. This charm can be defeated by charms and sorcery.

Ingratiating Gift

  • Cost: 3 motes
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Socialize: 3
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Basic Socialize Prana

You can sense exactly the right thing to give someone to get in on their good side, if that's at all possible within your means.


Read Political Passions

  • Cost: 3 motes
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Socialize: 3
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Basic Socialize Prana

Every politician contains a secret chamber of political goals he hides away, the flames that burn inside him. Now you can peer at these fires. Roll Perception + Socialize (resisted by the target's Manipulation + Socialize) to detect a person's true political agenda; the more successes, the better your knowledge.


Find the Dirt

  • Cost: 5 motes, 1 WP
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Socialize: 4
  • Minimum Moe: 3
  • Prerequisite Charms: Read Political Passions

Every politician has a skeleton or twelve in their closet. Roll Perception + Socialize with a difficulty of their Moe to find out what could be used to black mail them. The more successes, the more information. Of course, you'll need PROOF to pull it off, but that's what Larceny charms are for... This charm ony works on those of equal or lesser Moe.

Hmm, if Magical Girls are supposed to the the Dragon Blooded equivelant shouldn't they have the health levels of a dragon blood, they only get 2 HLs from Ox-Body a -1 and a -2, so isn't that what AbHB should give when used by a MG? - Blackedout just wondering...
