Gothic Blast

  • Cost: 1 mote per 2L damage
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Lore: 2
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: None

The Lolita softly whispers the ancient word of DOOM (“baka”) and reaches out her hand, and a bolt of crackling darkness leaps from her outstretched hand. Damage inflicted by this Charm manifests as sudden decay: metal corrodes or rusts, while wood and flesh wither away as though blighted by disease and aging. The character’s player rolls Dexterity + Athletics (or Thrown, whichever he prefers) to hit, applying an Accuracy bonus equal to her permanent Moe. This attack has a range of (the character’s permanent Moe x 10) yards and does a base damage of 2L for each mote of Moe spent. Against Alien Princesses and other creatures of Oniboshi, Gothic Blast inflicts aggravated damage. A character cannot spend more motes in this Charm than her Stamina + Lore.

Lolita's Black Tentacles

  • Cost: 1+ mote, 1 Willpower
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Lore: 3
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Gothic Blast

The character extends her arms, and tentacles of twisting dark energy fly from her fingertips. If the tentacles strike a being with an Moe pool, they wrap around her and drain her energy (such draining often involves lots of meaningless fanservice and censorship). Although it inflicts no damage, Lolita’s Black Tentacles otherwise follows the same rules as Gothic Blast with regards to its Range, Accuracy and the roll to hit. Victims struck by this attack lose 1 mote of Moe for every mote spent activating this Charm, plus a number of additional motes equal to the Lolita’s permanent Moe. If applicable, victims lose Peripheral Moe before Personal Moe. This Charm dissipates harmlessly if it hits anything besides a magical being, including unExalted mortals. A character cannot spend more motes on this Charm than her Stamina + Lore.

Beauty Absorption Prana

  • Cost: 1 mote
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Lore: 5
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Lolita's Black Tentacles

With this Charm, a Lolita mat feed on a target’s life force directly without even touching her. The player rolls Willpower. Each success inflicts one die of lethal damage that can only be soaked with natural soak, and the Lolita gains 1 mote per die of damage (even if she doesn't deal any actual damage). This version of the Charm doesn't drain the opponent's Moe. This Charm, though, can also target the Moe pool of a magical being, with successes draining motes directly on a one-for-one basis. So long as the Exalt drains fewer motes than a target’s Stamina, she may not even notice the loss. However, Moe drained from another magical being’s pool glimmers in the air as it flows out of the victim’s mouth and into the Lolita’s own. This Charm can target any being in the Loli’s line of sight.

Gothic Lolita Reality Arrangement

  • Cost: 10 motes, 1 Willpower
  • Duration: Indefinite
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Lore: 3
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Gothic Blast

Gothic Lolitas represent everything Oniboshi isn’t. Oniboshi is chaos and meaningless flow of narrative creativity, while the mind of a Gothic Lolita is the epitome of emphasis, a haven of stagnation, endless droning and hour-long monologues in a dark room. As such, Gothic Lolitas with this Charm can channel their angst-tainted Moe to shield them from the warping effects of Oniboshi. With this Charm invoked, the character and her possessions (an amount that can equal a fully laden horse if mounted) can venture in the most chaotic regions of Oniboshi without suffering any change of form of fearing Shaping Combat. Additionally, the character adds her permanent Moe to her soak (and other applicable rolls) to resist the powerful Alien Princess magic. The Reality Arrangement lasts as long as the Exalt desires, although each day that the user maintains it inflicts one level of unsoakable bashing damage to her (there’s a limit to the amount of meaningless disorder a Gothic Lolita can take).

On a side note, this Charm seems to work in other, just-as-freaky places, like Ralph’Malfeas.

Chaos-Flaying Arrangement

  • Cost: 5 motes
  • Duration: One scene
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Lore: 3
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Gothic Lolita Reality Arrangement

With this Charm, a Gothic Lolita channels the Moe of the inevitable order of boredom and angst through her weapon. For the rest of the scene, the weapon inflicts aggravated damage on Alien Princesses and other creatures of Oniboshi.

Soul-Forging Arrangement

  • Cost: 10+ motes, 1 Willpower
  • Duration: One hour
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Lore: 5
  • Minimum Craft [Soulforging]: 3
  • Minimum Moe: 3
  • Prerequisite Charms: Chaos-Flaying Arrangement

Using a technique similar to the Reality Arrangement needed to stabilize Oniboshi, the Lolita can manipulate the stands of condensed angst from the Labyrinth and meld them with the souls of the departed to create the most disturbing of the Five Magical Materials. This Charm can only be used within the Labyrinth. After an hour of molding Moe (and a lot of cursing later), the Gothic Lolita can create up to her Moe in units of Soulsteel at a cost of 10 motes per block created. Each unit is enough to forge an artifact the size of a suit of light armor.

Spores of No Fun

  • Cost: 5 motes
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Lore: 3
  • Minimum Moe: 3
  • Prerequisite Charms: Gothic Blast, Hands of Life-Withering

In a long exhalation, the Lolita releases black spores charged with her tainted Moe, which can destroy all the plant life in the vicinity and cause serious harm to the creatures that live there. The Lolita’s player rolls Stamina + Lore. All plants within a circular area with radius equal to the number of successes rolled in yards wither and die. All animals and people, including other Exalted, suffer dice of lethal damage equal to the character’s permanent Moe, which can only be soaked with Stamina.

Reality Revision: World of No Fun

  • Cost: 30 motes, 1 Willpower, 1 lethal health level, 3 experience points
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Lore: 5
  • Minimum Moe: 5
  • Prerequisite Charms: Chaos-Flaying Arrangement, Spores of No Fun

With a powerful scream that can be heard as far as (her Moe) miles, the Gothic Lolita releases the full power of the Underworld: the World of No Fun. The kawaii world of Creation and the chaotic existence of Oniboshi are unraveled and torn asunder by the sheer power of unlimited angst released with this technique. This blast erupts as a pitch-black spherical shockwave from the Loli, withering trees in instants and eroding rocks as it suck the life, harmony, cuteness and life from the world around her. The Lolita’s player rolls Intelligence + Lore + Moe. All Alien Princesses and Oniboshi creatures in the area of effect suffer unsoakable levels of aggravated damage equal to the number of successes rolled. If killed by this Charm, Oniboshi beings are utterly disintegrated, the glamour of their bodies evaporating under the might of the brooding energy. Living beings inside the blast zone suffer levels of lethal damage equal to the Loli’s Lore rating, soakable only with Stamina. This burst extends to a radius of (the Lolita’s permanent Moe x 10) yards. Once this Charm has been used in an area, nothing will grow within the barren circle for months, or even years: life refuses to exist in a world of no fun.

Comments

As a warning, many of these charms do lethal damage that can only be soaked by Stamina. Given that this gives almost everything in the game a max soak of 2-3, anything higher than this is highly dangerous. A particular offender is the Beauty Absorbing Prana, which, with no attack roll (and thus no defense) does Willpower in Lethal, soakable only by Stamina. At this point, a character with 8-9 WP (quite common in real games, less common in many settings) can easily roll 6 dice, doing 3 unsoakable lethal damage, for ... 1mote. Very cheap, no real resist roll, and if placed in some sort of Loli-combo that somehow converts damage dice to autosux, or some such, really realy does a lot. -- GreenLantern

Yeah, Beauty Absorption Prana ought to allow some kind of resistance roll or else a regular to hit roll. For Soul-Forging Arrangement, it might be simplest to say you can make one dot of artifacts out of it per unit created. --JohnBiles

Remade Beauty Absorption Prana. I think Spores of No Fun and World of No Fun are okay the way they are. Particularly the latter, I mean, I wouldn't want to spend 30 motes, 1 WP, 1 health level and 3 XP to have some dude spend two motes on Brace Against the Storm and soak the whole thing! Besides, Bishonen can still use the lowly Blunt the Impact to turn the damage to Bashing, or the mighty Orichalcum Barrier Defense to negate all damage. That's why using World of No Fun against anything but Alien Princesses and Oniboshi creatures is pretty much a bad idea. As for Soul-Forging Arrangement, I think it's okay the way it is. After all, it wouldn't make any sense that the character has to make the same effort to make a Level 5 Daiklave and a Level 5 Skyship! -- Wings
