This is a great idea. I was just about to make my own of these. - Morpheus
Any feedback on the numbers I came up with? I'm not sure I'm quite happy with some of them. But then, I'm used to looking at the table in the book. :P

Sure, I've got some. Hook swords should have 1 more def., seven-section staves should switch the acc. and def. values you've got, and clubs and staves should do lethal. <grin> Otherwise, this is great. - SilverMeerKat
Hook Swords duely changed.
I disagree about the 7-Section Staves, but I did reduce their Damage and their Accuracy penalty.
Clubs I really think should be bashing; you're knocked out before you're dying. Staves in general though... mmm... I dunno. Maybe you can convince me otherwise?
~*~Braydz~*~
It is ridiculously easy to injure someone seriously with a long piece of wood. If you know what you're doing, you don't actually spin a staff in circles; using leverage and really simple body mechanics, you can get the end of it moving at frightening speeds, and it's really accurate. I agree with 'kat; staves, minimum, should do lethal. Clubs I'm not so convinced about, but considering that some large swords were traditionallly engineered to cruch rather than to cut... - willows
You've sold me on staves.
You're talking large swords, though. With clubs we're talking a 2-foot hunk of wood max.

The question is really whether or not you can break bones with it. A chair leg isn't gonna be lethal, IMHO, but a serious club with a knot on the end, a nail, a piece of metal, etc., should do lethal. And a metal club should do lethal, as should metal-hard woods. But, then you've got to screw with their speed ratings to reflect the weight or whatever. Etc...case-by-case. - Morpheus
Yeah, I like generalities.
Oh, the new numbers are to reflect the the advantage of distance. Someone brawling against someone with a long sword is at a disadvantage because of the effective striking distance of the long sword.

In response to what Morpheus said, I am now going to work on Club crafting and customization rules, because a club with a giant spike through it is scarier than a katana any day --KaleUtterdark
When sticks with nails through them start getting social stats [Presence 1 (Intimidation +2) comes to mind] is when I run the other fucking direction.
