The Abominable Snowmen

These tribes live in the central north, between the Hindenburg League to the North, the small states of the northern Inland Sea to the South, Mauvewall and Doom City to the west, and Telmarine and Halnia to the east. This deep wilderness of tundra and pastureland is home to the wandering hairy tribes of the Abominable Snowmen. They are able to survive where others freeze, living in small mobile tribes which herd raindeer, mammoths, and other animals around the woods, trying to stay alive another year.

Most are human, but they live in alliance with the real abominable snowmen, furry semi-human creatures who have only primitive tool use, but supernatural powers of Survival. (True Abominable Snowmen have Essence 2, an Essence pool of 10 * their Essence, and access to charms about on a level with Magical Girl charms related to unarmed combat and wilderness survival.) Furry, strong, and potent fighters, their clans act as allies, guides, and fellow warriors to the larger human tribes, keeping them alive through the bad times and sharing the wealth in the good. They are also noted for their special potation, made from the sap of certain trees, which enables them bounce around like jumping beans. They have a high compassion, and their human allies are very protective of them to keep them from being exploited.

Many of these tribes now serve the Boo of the North, and are in the process of conquering the Telmarines and portions of the northern coast of the Inland Sea.
