History

Expanded Backgrounds

Artifact: The short Daiklave and matching orichalcum breastplate Lapis wears are items from the personal hoard of the Dragon Blood Progyrianos Deras, an enemy of Lookshy with a taste for trophies from fallen Anathema. When the Realm went into turmoil, Deras became something of a free agent, thinking he could stand against Lookshy on his own. An assasination team was sent in to punish him for his arrogance. Lapis served as the distraction. Seeing as how he reaped little of the glory of the Dragon-Blood's death, he saw fit to claim these spoils as his own. Since he discovered Deras's treasure room before anyone else, while everyone else was engaged in battle, no one knew the items had ever been there by the time they arrived. Lapis lets people assume the panoply has always been his. The breastplate is distinctive for the winged-solar disk of mirrored blue steel in its center.

Influence: Due to the success of his spying missions, Lapis is being taken more seriously by his superiors who now take time to listen to his input instead of merely telling him to do as he's told.

Resources: Lapis lived as a Scavenger for years following the fateful incident in Gethamane, searching for any trace of the knowledge regarding Tiamat and Kingu. Having found little worth saving to that end, most of his earnings have gone to creating a respectable lifestyle. He owns a comfortable two-story home in Lookshy and has recently hired a young woman named Llyrona to tend it in his frequent absences. She has begun to develop an attraction to her employer, but Lapis, being gone so frequently as part of his military duties, is yet to notice.
