Future Home of the Plot and Other Tid Bits

Part One

Winter Rain while performing his priestly duties on the Isle of the Sun, his home, got a summons from Hawk's Gaze.

He reported down to the water front and from a high vantage point on the beach they watched two ships out in the open water, one chasing the other

Just as they came into sight, the two realized that the ship chasing was one of the Realm

A storm came up on the horizon and there were a few weapons exchanging fire... but then the shore was shrouded in mist

Meanwhile

On the ship ...

Part Two

The fog cleared, the sun came out (kind of) and the ship that escaped the realm sat calmly in the harbor. Winter Rain left to greet the visitors (with the proclamation that he hates pirates... that they happen to be...) and welcome them to rest in Sun's Grasp Port, and restock their ship. After doing so, he returned to his temple to continue the rituals. Miakonda, one of the ship's crew, begins casing the town. After noticing that there is little of value there, she goes up to the temple where she finds several things worth stealing--and Winter Rain. Thinking from his appearance that he is Fae-blooded, she quickly makes an excuse and leaves. Winter Rain, with a frown, decides to pray to the god of the island and ask him what to do. His prays are successful, and the god offers a quick reply:

"It is good."

Part Three

After receiving a warning note from Hawk's Gaze about the newcomers, Winter Rain tells an acolyte to take care of temple functions and spends the next day checking around the town. While he is learning that the newcomers are acting kind of suspiciously and have large amounts of jade to spend, Miakonda climbs up to Hawk's Gaze's nest and meets Hawk's Gaze. The two engage in verbal banter for a time until Miakonda notices her ship is under attack. She tries to leave but Winter Rain, who has reached almost the top of the ladder after his investigations led him there, blocks her way.

In the ensuing fight, Miakonda is knocked unconscious by poison and Winter Rain and Hawk's Gaze debate the merits of her plan and about how she is a Lunar. When their backs are turned, she awakens and punches both of them, augmenting the punch with her Charms. Winter Rain pursues her, but is prevented from catching her when she turns into a seagull and flies away towards her ship.
