Storyteller: The sun rises.
Storyteller: the day begins
Miakonda: she is perched a top some barrels, watching the ports activity and the actives of the residents.
Storyteller: Mia, the town wakes up around you and there is naught of your crew's campfire but smoldering ashes
Winter Rain: As the sun rises, Winter Rain--in ordinary clothes--is already out and wandering around the town
Miakonda: out of paranoia, she looks to the ship.
Storyteller: Local residents wave and say hi, as per usual when they see you in town
Storyteller: the Ship looks fine from a distance
Storyteller: No sign of anyone in the watchtower
Winter Rain: Winter Rain bows slightly as he passes the residents.
Winter Rain: "Blessings of the sun on you"
Miakonda: she begins climbing the watchtower
Storyteller: As Mia gets to the top of the tower, just before she's in the door her right wrist gets grabbed from behind
Storyteller: "What are you doing missus?"
Miakonda: she looks behind her quickly, eyes wide for a moment in terror, but calms down "Just going for a look. It's such a pretty view"
Miakonda: she shakes her hand free
Storyteller: He smiles wryly, his long black hair a mess over his face and shoulders
Storyteller: "Oh yes, of course, allow me..."
Storyteller: *lets go, leading her into the watchtower*
Miakonda: is instantly suspicious "Friendly town..." follows him, walking more on the ball os her feet and watching him cautiously
Storyteller: he stands about six feet tall, his skin tone is that of a dark olive and his eyes are a brilliant gold. if it wasn't for his eyes he wouldn't be particularly handsome -more down to earth
Storyteller: "we try"
Storyteller: *he winks*
Winter Rain: Winter Rain continues to wander around the town, trying to remain inconspicuous...well, as inconspicuous as he can
Miakonda: she looks out at the harbor, the short sleeves of her shirt let her silver rabbit tracks on the back of her arms show "is this a busy port?"
Winter Rain: Winter Rain mutters to himself as he watches the ship's crew.
Winter Rain: "Jade? Where did they get all that jade..."
Storyteller: *he slides his arm behind her, as if he was going to guide her by the small of her back, without ever touching her" Cherie, come look
Winter Rain: He goes off towards the outlook
Miakonda: she jumps away from him.
Storyteller: Cherie?
Miakonda: "Forgive me, I'm not one to enjoy being touched."
Storyteller: On the way to the outlook you see the remaints of the campfire, it looks as if about 8 people of the 16 people crew spent the night on shore
Storyteller: My appologies, I did not mean to offend, *leads her without touching her to the edge of the watch tower, where there is a tiny ladder that goes up to the very top, flat section of the roof* shall we?
Miakonda: she climbs up first "I'm not sure how this answeres my question, townsman..."
Storyteller: *his smile broadens as he climbs up after* Call me Hawk's Gaze
Winter Rain: *Stops to examine the fire*
Storyteller: No signs of a meal, and half of the mornings foot prints lead back to the ship
Winter Rain: "Hmm..."
Winter Rain: Winter Rain keeps walking towards the tower
Miakonda: once she is on the roof she is like a beacon of opal and silver when the sun hits her hair and skin. "Very well, Hawk's Gaze. Is this a busy port?"
Storyteller: *he hauls himself up next to her, and perches up on a thin rail* well look *he motions out to the horizion. nothing is in the direction of the realm, but from the direction of the western islands, about ten or so ships seem to be on
Storyteller: their way here* the isle of the sun, is much blessed by the sun
Storyteller: Those are our merchant ships returning home
Winter Rain: When he reaches the tower, Winter Rain begins climbing the ladder
Miakonda: "Really? What's your main trade?"
Storyteller: *he glances down for a moment, noticing movement below. knowing its going to take a good 10 minutes for his friend to climb he just leaves him* "Transportation"
Storyteller: The other islands provide the goods - we provide the protection and the ships
Storyteller: WR will notice that Hawk's usual help is not milling about at all. the beach is silent
Winter Rain: Starts climbing faster
Storyteller: And what is your crew's main transport miss?
Miakonda: We're explorers mostly, our cargo is people
Storyteller: Explorers Aye? And what type of exploration do you do? *he leans over his feet, perching on the thin rail just like a hawk intent on something in the distance* treasure hunting?
Storyteller: WR gets to the top
Winter Rain: "Gaze, we-" He stops when he sees Mia.
Storyteller: he's in HG"s room, he can hear murmers of converstion from below
Storyteller: he's not at *THE* top
Storyteller: just to the room
Storyteller: the room is empty
Winter Rain: ((well enough to listen in?))
Storyteller: he can hear things from the roof
Winter Rain: ((MWAHAHAHAHA!!))
Storyteller: but only somewhat clearly
Winter Rain: Winter Rain listens to the conversation
Storyteller: and there are a few papers and notes scattered around the room
Miakonda: she laughs "hardly."
Storyteller: But you all hardly seem in need of wealth...
Miakonda: "We have private funding"
Storyteller: A generous patron of explorers?
Storyteller: Is that how you were able to outrun the realm?
Miakonda: grins to him "or perhaps we're just good sailors, aye?"
Storyteller: *he smiles broadly,* ah yes.... *looks out to the harbor as a ship sails in*
Miakonda: she thinks over what he said. "I am surious though, you said the other island has the cargo, which other island?"

My record is missing text here

Miakonda: "How specific. Sorry to have wasted your time. Thanks for letting me up here." she turns to leave Storyteller: *as she turns a loud cannon fire comes from the harbor* Storyteller: you might want to stay, the best view is from here Winter Rain: Winter Rain whips around, looking for the source of the noise Miakonda: she flinches at the sound and turns slowly "The view of what?" Storyteller: there is an island ship in the harbor, it has cornered in the rouge ship, and it has fired a warning shot Storyteller: Its always fun times here on the island when pirates come to town... *he grins* Miakonda: "Pirates?" Storyteller: *he winks at her* Miakonda: "I really don't agree with violence, I'm a story gatherer, why not let the ship go?" Storyteller: Out on the water , there seems to be yelling from one ship to the other.. Storyteller: Because then the realm might get it Storyteller: and thats not a better solution Winter Rain: Winter Rain smiles. "That's what he's here to do..." Winter Rain: He starts climbing the other ladder Storyteller: *he points off to the east and hands her a looking glass* Miakonda: "What's the difference? " takes the looking glass and looks to the east Storyteller: There are three realm ships that are coming fast and hard towards the island Storyteller: "I'm afraid, Miss... i'm sorry didn't catch your name?" Miakonda: She swears and hands the spy glass back "I must go" turns back to the ladder to leave Storyteller: oh, i'm sorry, but i'm going to have to ask you to stay for our little tea party Storyteller: WR is blocking her way down the ladder Storyteller: "Winter Rain, don't you agree?" Miakonda: "and I must respectfully decline, where the Realm is I make it a point not to be." Winter Rain: "Excuse me. I believe I was here first," he says to Mia Storyteller: Oh don't worry, the realm won't make it here Storyteller: But your ship can't stay Miakonda: her red eyes flik back and forth "then I obviously can't stay, can I? Storyteller: Oh, all of you will be welcome to stay or leave... after we dispose of the ship Storyteller: *he catches her arm and holds it* Storyteller: lets not do this the hard way, one of many shapes Miakonda: her fist comes around to clock him in the temple Winter Rain: Winter Rain scrambles up the last few rungs to the top rung Winter Rain: *platform Storyteller: *he slips his hand under her arm and to her ribs, nicking her with the tip of a blade as he starts to tumble backwards Miakonda: "I said not to touch me, and I played nice up to this point!" Storyteller: *he falls backwards, landing with a thud on a lower wooden roof* Miakonda: she ignores the wound and leaps off the roof Storyteller: *rubs his head as he glows gold for a moment* Storyteller: and right about now..... she is starting to feel sleepy Storyteller: Rain! Winter Rain: *get to the top just as Mia leaps off* Miakonda: she grabs for the ladder as she falls Storyteller: *cough* stop her! Winter Rain: "Gods damn it..." Winter Rain: *Activates Graceful Crane Stance* Winter Rain: And runs down the ladder Winter Rain: ((who gets to the bottom first?)) Miakonda: ((she's trying to grab onto the ladder)) Storyteller: you're climbing, she's falling and trying to grab on Winter Rain: ((well...running. I want to get to the bottom so I can intercept her)) Storyteller: well, she's on the one you can't run on Winter Rain: ((Can I do the ladder slide?)) Storyteller: but she grapples for the ladder, almost catches it, and slumps to the patio of HG"s room Storyteller: and is unconcious Miakonda: lays still on the patio Storyteller: HG gets up, and dusts himself off, rubbing his chin as he begins walking back upstairs Storyteller: Oy.. this one's fiesty Miakonda: ((LOL)) Storyteller: I knew we couldn't have her there while they deal with that ship ... Winter Rain: Reaches the habitation level after his run and walks over to Mia Storyteller: luckily she came to me *grins* Storyteller: *pulls himself up into the room* Winter Rain: "Many shapes? I thought I recognized those tattoos..." Winter Rain: "Lunar Anathema..." Storyteller: *hisses* anathema is not what we are Storyteller: she is a changer of shapes yes, a daughter of the moon, yes Winter Rain: Winter Rain smiles. "A name is only a name, Gaze. Don't be so touchy." Storyteller: *creases his brow, glancing out to the water* speak for yourself. Are you a priest of the sun? or are you listening to the deamons of Maelfeus? Storyteller: Out on the water there are more cannon shots fired Winter Rain: "I know what I heard, and that's all I need to know." Storyteller: these aren't warning shots Storyteller: they're shooting to sink the ship Miakonda: she is still on the patio, eyes closed, looking like a forgotten ragdoll Storyteller: *walks over to their charge, lifts her and lays her in his hammock* Winter Rain: "If she's a Lunar...is she actually unconscious or just faking it?" Storyteller: sleep tight fiesty one Session concluded at 11:24:06 PMYou have just entered room "peekaboo." Storyteller: *grins and shows him the blade with a tip of blood on it* i didn't think i'd have to use it but i had a little bit of Night Watcher's specicalty mix o' the tip 'o this Storyteller: she's out for a little i think Winter Rain: "Yes...but they're supposed to be able to survive hits that kill ten lesser men." He walks over to Mia and checks her pulse. Storyteller: by the time she wakes, it won't much matter Storyteller: Mia's pulse is fine, her breathing is fine.. Miakonda: fur is soft.... Winter Rain: Winter Rain jerks his hand back. "What the?!" Storyteller: I wouldn't touch her if i were you... she hits hard ... *rubs his eyes* Winter Rain: "How...did I miss that?" Storyteller: *grins* thats what you get for being a priest Storyteller: no time for the women folk Winter Rain: *rolls his eyes* "Right. Now, if you don't mind, what have you got going on here?" *gestures to the ships in the harbor* Storyteller: *watches the harbor, amongst the shouting and yelling the 16 man crew is being loaded into the island's boat along with their cargo* Storyteller: We're getting rid of evidence my friend Storyteller: the realm is coming here, now Storyteller: And i don't want that ship in my harbor Storyteller: so we're sinking it further out at sea Winter Rain: "How are you going to get it far enough away to sink without them noticing?" Storyteller: *grins* easily, it doesn't have to be far out Storyteller: it just has to be where the realm lost it yesturday Winter Rain: "And that's the direction they're coming from now..." Winter Rain: "It's dangerous, Gaze." Storyteller: Would you rather them thing we harbored them? Miakonda: she rolls open an eye to locate the voices Storyteller: they're now on one of our empty ships with our protection Winter Rain: "If the Realm comes in and finds an empty ship, it's better than them seeing us sinking it." Storyteller: I'd rather just get rid of the damn pirates, but feeding them to the realm just isn't my style Storyteller: oh, it's already sinking Storyteller: It just needs to be piolted out of the harbor Storyteller: the two guys are standing there watching the commotion in the harbor Winter Rain: "Mmm..." Miakonda: she creeps up behind them and nails them both with fists to the kidneys Miakonda: (body weapon tech, blows are lethal damage) Storyteller: And they both double over in immense shooting pain Storyteller: since they were both prone Storyteller: and neither has flow like blood activated Winter Rain: ((I'm going to Essence Gathering Temper that, because I can :-P)) Storyteller: ((ok by me)) Miakonda: "thought you could use me! Ha!" she runs Winter Rain: ((how much damage was it?)) Storyteller: 2 Winter Rain: ((yay!)) Winter Rain: ((I blow it immediately on Crimson Leaping Cat technique and chase after her)) Storyteller: ((ok)) Winter Rain): ((I feel an urge to have Winter Rain scream "Halt, Miscreant!")) Miakonda: (shape change to seagull) Storyteller: And she's running and she's running and then she flies off! Storyteller: so damn, he doesn't catch her Storyteller: and she flies to? Winter Rain: *grabs after her tail feathers* Miakonda: she makes for the ship, in a panic for her companions Storyteller: she doesn't even feel his fingers touch the tips Storyteller: and as she flies to the ship, she notices its leaving harbor without her Winter Rain: Hisses and descends the ladder as fast as he can Storyteller: and it's empty but for two people

A bit more here I don't have
