In the Crimson Panoply of Victory, the cheering of the crowd and the relentless drill of soldiers diverted attention from the Chosen of Battle returning in failure.

That was tragic.

And so, Fateful Ambiguity knelt before his superior and sighed his failure.

E’lial, who was only twenty years older and undeserving of his greater status, shook his head and smirked at the tale brought before his ears.

That failure meant something.

So, E’lial chastised his brother and sent him away as he turned his own attention to the implied problem and what those who knew could do.

To his palatial Manse went E’lial, he who was sometimes the Scarlet Rain and sometimes the Chief Security Officer to the Imperial Palace, who would one day wear the name of Creation’s Traitor and who was most secretly named Se’ville.

To his palatial Manse came Iselsi Navia, she who was the mother of the Pivot Child, unknown in her allegiances and the one who had donned a Destiny’s House name as her own for reasons known only to others of the mystery of Secrets.

To the throne room of the Manse, they both moved and though they were not one, they could be one in purpose in what was to come.

"You called me, and I have come," Navia spoke in the echoing heights of the great golden Manse, a remnant of an Eclipse’s holdings in Heaven long ago.

"I called and you did come," E’lial answered, whose youthful face frowned in concern.

"The Twilight in the Threshold is returning to her power," Navia whispered and her smile was tight with risk and tension under the golden light of the Unconquered Sun.

"But how much more is required?" E’lial wondered.

"As much as has ever been required, E’lial, only as much as the Sun and Destiny wish."

"She's a breathing paradox, a hole in the Tapestry, even though I don't know how," the Chosen of Battles spoke.

"As Xilanada once was, so she is again and once more Creation knows a Solar with the same Anima, soul, face and name," returned the Chosen of Secrets.

Across the glory of Heaven, the happenings in this Manse went unobserved and so their conversation continued, owing to E’lial’s considerable wiles.

"She’s different than you think," E’lial warned.

"Tell me," Iselsi Navia said, with shimmering emerald eyes of great interest.

"A recreation of Xilanada or not, she is not a new Solar but the one before, Final Starry Night himself, a new life thrown upon the old."

Navia, Daughter of Jupiter then knew the ominous whisper of prophecy, felt the golden threads of the Unconquered Sun’s will vie against the Destiny this woman strove to make for herself.

"We must be wary of her, E’lial, for the Tapestry is weak already around her and she bears too much of the power she once wielded in the First Age."

In this Manse, the splendor of Yu-Shan, E’lial could almost reach out and work upon Xilanada’s destiny directly, he who had barred himself and locked himself away, just as she had in a different way.

"Then she is a danger to us, for as long as she denies her real destiny," E’lial said at last.

"So long as she continues to avoid her past, so long will the snarl be...unless someone can unravel it to make something new."

"What would you do about her?" E’lial asked quietly, the curiosity in his voice laid out for Navia to see and ponder as was her nature.

"Return her to the destiny she had before, whether it leads to salvation or destruction for her."

"And if I can’t?"

"Then make her a new life if you must, but remember that nothing can jeopardize the prophecy I have pledged my life to."

"Then I shall do so, Navia, for I will not allow anything to stand between us and what the Pivot Child Prophecy will bring when it comes in full."

At that, Iselsi Navia gave the Lord of the Manse his due with a respectful bow and departed, leaving the indistinct music of Yu-Shan to drift through the palatial building.

Above Creation, at the top of the boundaries of existence, the Incarna continued, sated in their Jade Pleasure Dome, pleasured by the Games of Divinity which were their captor and servant at the same time.

Above Creation stood Yu-Shan, the palace created from the world to seat its rulers.

Above Creation lay the countless millions of the Gods, those that served them...and those they served.

Above Creation, E’lial smiled as he turned his thoughts to the story of Xilanada, in the last Age and in this one, and the necessity of keeping her away from the Blessed Isle and the Pivot Child to come.
