Recent Time Line

The part in parenthesis represent the general region of the event. The text afterwards is 'common knowledge to those in the know', so to speak, and those with the relevant skills or in the relevant area will likely know about it within a month or two.

Year: 754 - (1,246 Shogunate)

• (Thorns) The Autocrat of Thorns dies. Long an ally of the Realm, the Empire wanted more. In exchange for an invasion of the Scavenger Lands, the Realm supports his younger son as an usurper, sending 'advisors', a legion, and significant amounts of first age weaponry. Thorns spends the next two years preparing for war.
• (Scavenger Lands) The rest of the Scavenger Lands do not see this build up go unnoticed, and begin their own buildup - notably Marukani, Lookshy and Nexus forces, along with the rest of the River Confederation.

Year: 758 - (1,250 Shogunate)

• (Scavenger Lands) Thorns first assault against the Scavenger lands meets with a disastrous failure, its forces driven back by Lookshy's ever-elite troops. The city turns to licking its wounds, and preparing for a more coordinated offensive.

Year: 760 - (1,252 Shogunate)

• (Scavenger Lands) Over a year later, Thorn's next assault nets them Deren's Ford, and lays seige to Mishaka. In response, however, the seiging forces draw a three-pronged attack of staggering magnitude, utterly decimating Thorn's forces, though at high cost to many of the cities of the River Confederation.

Year: 761 - (1,253 Shogunate)

• (Linowan) The Bull of the North sends forces to attack Rokan-jin and Talinin Tribes south of the Linowan

Year: 762 - (1,254 Shogunate)

• (Linowan) The Bull of the North sends the Sorceress Samea to assist his forces against the Rokan-Jin and Talinin Tribes. Open warfare erupts between Icewalkers and Rokan-jin and Talinin Tribes.

Year: 763 - The Bronze Boar (Risen Earth) (1,255 Shogunate)

• (All Creation) The Solar Exalted begin to return in numbers. The Abyssal Exalted begin to appear en masse
• (Linowan) The Linowan request aid from the Realm against the Icewalkers. The Tepet Legions join up with the Linowan Forces. The Bull of the North joins his forces.

Calibration

• (Realm) The Empress dissappears. A frequent occurance, it is noted but of no concern.

Year: 764 - The Bronze Bull (Ascending Earth) (1,256 Shogunate)

• Current Year

Ascending Air

• (Linowan) Battle of Krellen Ford: The first real encounter between the Bull of the North's forces and the Tepet Legions results in a devastating loss for Mors Ialdin, the Bull's lieutenant. He regroups with the Bull's forces who then exterminates the Tepet persuit.

Resplendant Air

• (Linowan) Battle of Ironhorn Forest: The Bull's forces are pushed back in a massive battle, at significant cost to the Tepet Legions.

Descending Air

• (Linowan) - Tepet forces destroy the city of Osak.

Ascending Water

• (Linowan) Battle of Fallen Lapis: The capital of Ardeleth, Fallen Lapis, is utterly destroyed. The Tepet forces taking the city are seriously damaged by the Bull's enraged forces.

Resplendant Water

• (Linowan) Tepet forces are harried by the Bull's forces.

Descending Water

• (Linowan) Tepet Arada orders the long retreat to Greyfalls.

Ascending Earth

• (Halta) Battle of Futile Blood: The Tepet legions defeat the Bull of the North, Tepet Arada himself felling the Bull of the North by his own hand, and several other members of his circle also fall. Only Samea remains.
• (Realm) Concerns begin to spread, with the Empress having yet to return - she has not dissappeared for so long before. While there is an official cover story, it is scarcely believed. The Guild in particular works against the official story.

Resplendant Earth

• (Scavenger Lands) Present Month. The Mask of Winters Assaults Thorns. Campaign begins.
