Visions Of Tomorrow
Visions of Tomorrow is a two player campaign I will be running during the christmas holiday. I'm using this mainly to teach my cousin how to play Exalted, since he's been out of gaming for about eight years. Now for a bit of background...
Visions of Tomorrow is the name of both the campaign and it's main villain. Visions of Tomorrow is a mad prophet who leads a Wyld Cult in her attempt to ressurect Tarbrei, a Rhaksha lord. Visions is a Lunar, who was heavily twisted by the Wyld and has been an Exalt for about ten years (50 xp by the Player's Guide rules).
Tarbrei is a mad fae who walked the earth during the Contagion, his goal was to spread the Wyld over the bodies of Creation's defenders, the Dragon Blooded. However, he did not count on Grandmother Bright's interference along with the aid of a circle of Dragonblooded legionnaires, to battle the mad fae into a specially prepared tomb. There, Grandmother Bright activated an ancient device which sealed the Fae in a zone of mundanity and static, to keep him and his influence trapped. However, the device could not crush him as intended, for Tarbrei had a permanent enchantment, a zone of Wyld that followed where he went (similar to the Abyssal Limit effect).
So the circle and Grandmother Bright did the only thing they could, they siphoned his essence into two statues and spread them to ruins across Creation. Fast forward to today...
Visions of Tomorrow discovered these stories during a vision seeking in the Wyld two years into her exaltation, in spite of her tribe's warnings to the contrary, for she had excessive pride in her resolve. However, Tarbrei's influence is strong, and the wyld quickly seized the unprepared Lunar and turned her into a Wyld Addict, and slowly her convictions turned into absolute obedience to Tarbrei's will.
In her years of travel and visionseeking afterwards, she has found one of the Tarbrei statues, and has reason to believe that the second statue is somewhere close to Chiaroscuro, probably under Grandmother Bright's watchful eye. In come the heroes...
