Vengeful Rodent from the Hidden Shining City

His Story

VR was born in Sapphire, an inland city in Grabblegook. For those who do not know, this is a city rich with First Age architecture and ideas. A place where the Dragon Blooded overlords rarely step. While the Unconquered Sun and Moon Goddes are not openly worshipped, they are remembered and revered.

Early in life VR lost his parents to illness and ended up a street urchin. He learned early to live in the shadows of the city and fend for himself. Often, he would find shelter in an unused basement or ruin in the city, often sharing the spaces with the rodents that thrive in the dark corners. He grew to be quick of mind and of foot as well as quick of mind and hand. He lived both by his wits and an innate survival streak.

When he approached his teen years the dreams began. He would dream of animals and changing into different animals. Sometimes there were battles, massive epic battles in which he metamorphed into monsterous human-animal hybrids. In these battles he was not often alone. There were men and women of incredible power involved, often glowing incandescenetly. Other dreams were more sedate, he would be walking or sitting in ornate libraries and palaces with companions. In these dreams he was often a woman. Other dreams were sexual in nature. Again he could be man or woman, or even in the form of an animal.
