The Well of Ubu and The Dowager of Absurdist Literature For Children
Deep in the Eastern forests, one can find the Mound of Confusion, a giant pile of things which make no sense. Thrusting up through the mound to erupt from its top is the Well of Ubu, a shaft which plunges into the ground to some unknown direction. Wyld and Death energies mingle together in the well, causing it to periodicaly spew vaguely evil confusing things. It was here that the Dowager of Absurdist Literature for Children dwells in a house made of EVIL gingerbread, and here that she unleashed the Chaos Plague. It did not leave her unmarked.
Once she craved to corrupt children to the worship of the NeverCute, to advance the end of all things. But now her mind is addled, and little makes sense to her any more. She kidnaps kids and tries to corrupt them, but it never quite makes sense. They don't end up evil so much as brutally whimsical. The main exception is her lone Gothic Lolita, who typically ends up fairly evil, though in a whimsical sort of way, the Comedian of the Mire, who shows the fundamental meaningless of life through black, bloody comedy. Until he fails to make the Dowager laugh anyway, and then she kills her Lolita and exalts a new one from the ranks of her children.
The Dowager looks like Mary Poppins, if Mary had supremely pale skin and carried books like 'When You Die, You Are Eaten By Worms' or 'You Are Made of Meat'.
She has an artifact umbrella which enables her to fly; it can also be used to stab people with the sword blade hidden inside the shaft.
