The Eternal Islands were originally part of the Northern Grand Line Province, forming another of its prefectures. After the end of the Harem Age, it became one of the posts of defense against the pirates of Skullstone. With the creation of the Realm, the Neo-Empress took firm control and built a major naval base here for maintaining order in the West. The line of Prefects have governed the Eternal Islands ever since then.

Unfortunately, now with the Empire in retreat, the Wherz'th'beef gang has stripped most of the navy from the area and it seems likely that they will face the forces of the Skeletal Lord alone when the time comes, though the Patriarch seeks allies. Furthermore, his son Seth is completely useless, spending all his time wandering off and getting lost with his pet cat and usually showing up half-naked and drunk afterwards.

It seems likely that the Eternal Islands will soon fall if hero(ine)s do not intervene, although it does seem that the Skeletal Lord, master of the Skullstone Archipelago, is trying to find the key to Castle Skullstone's First Age war machines, recently stolen by the Bishonen Manli. What use Manli will make of the key (or if he even still has it) is unknown...
