Mount Befriending Method

  • Cost: 3 motes
  • Duration: Permanent
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Ride: 2
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Graceful Bishonen Ride

Some mounts are persnickety and will only allow certain people to ride them; others may simply be generally troublesome. This charm causes a non-intelligent mount to become docile towards you; it must already be trained to allow someone to ride it. (Thus, you could steal someone's trained tiger, but not make a wild tiger allow you to ride.)

Mount Bonding Method

  • Cost: 3 motes, 1 WP, 1 XP
  • Duration: Permanent
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Ride: 3
  • Minimum Moe: 3
  • Prerequisite Charms: Mount Befriending Method

The bond between a Bishonen and his faithful steed is almost mystic in nature without the use of Charms. This makes it truly mystical. Having bonded to a steed, the Bishonen can always sense what direction it is in, its state of health, and what it is doing. He can silently summon it and it will come if possible; he will know if it can't come. This can only be used on a steed already loyal to you.

Wild Stallion Mastery

  • Cost: 5 motes, 1 WP
  • Duration: Permanent
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Ride: 3
  • Minimum Moe: 3
  • Prerequisite Charms: Mount Befriending Method

All of nature's creatures recognize your elegance and grace, making it easy to persuade them to serve you. Any wild creature physically capable of carrying you can be tamed with this charm. Roll Charisma + Ride; you must score successes equal to the target's Willpower - your Moe. If you succeed, the creature will let you, and only you ride it, though you will likely need to practice with it some for it to get used to this.

Perfection of Mounting

  • Cost: 1 mote
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Re-Fun
  • Minimum Ride: 2
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Graceful Bishonen Ride

Bishonen never suffer the humiliation of failure to mount a noble steed. They may use this charm to ensure a flawless vault into the saddle onto any animal trained to bear a rider. Said mounting action effectively does not count as an action for determining multi-action penalties. This charm also can be used to prevent being knocked out of your saddle while riding by instantly re-mounting you.

Affinity of Mount and Rider

  • Cost: 3 motes
  • Duration: One Scene
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Ride: 3
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Perfection of Mounting

Bishonen become as one with the task set before them. When they ride, they achieve a oneness of purpose with their mounts. This makes the two hard to separate. Any attempt to dismount the Bishonen adds his Moe to the difficulty of the attempt. Furthermore, without need to roll, he can acrobatically position himself around his mount, performing tasks such as standing on the saddle while firing a bow, automatically. He may parry any attack directed at his steed, but cannot dodge in its stead, though he can dodge to defend himself.

Union of Mount and Rider

  • Cost: 5 motes
  • Duration: One Scene
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Ride: 4
  • Minimum Moe: 3
  • Prerequisite Charms: Affinity of Mount and Rider

The Bishonen and his mount function as one. They may freely use each other's abilities while in physical contact, and the mount can use the Bishonen's charms as if they were his own, spending the motes from his own pool if he has one, or else from the Bishonen's pool. (If he has charms, the Bishonen can do the same.) When a borrowed charm is used, it's treated as if it was a normal charm for the mount (or Bishonen), with the usual limitations. (The mount could borrow a charm to parry an attack at itself, but not an attack directed at its master.) Whichever one has the better unarmed damage, they both share it. (Damage from melee and missile weapons is not shared.) Benefits of form charms extend to both mount and rider when activated.

Warbond of the Cavalryman

  • Cost: 5 motes
  • Duration: One Scene
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Ride: 4
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Perfection of Mounting

The Bishonen and his steed fight in unison together in the heat of battle. For the rest of the scene, the Bishonen may add his Ride to initiative rolls and to damage inflicted before soak with any hand-to-hand weapon. His steed adds his Ride to any attack or defense pools.

Tireless Steed

  • Cost: 5 motes
  • Duration: One Scene
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Ride: 3
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Graceful Bishonen Ride

The noble steed of a Bishonen will do anything for his master, even run itself to the point of collapse. For one scene, the steed is immune to fatigue and may continue to ride without flagging, though it must eventually rest for as long as it exceeded its limits, once the charm expires. Used for long-distance travel, this effectively doubles the travel speed of the horse, as it no longer needs to stop and rest.

Relentless Ride

  • Cost: 8 motes, 1 WP
  • Duration: Moe Days
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Ride: 4
  • Minimum Moe: 3
  • Prerequisite Charms: Tireless Steed

A Bishonen does not falter until his task is done. Neither does his mount. For Moe Days, the steed does not need food, water, sleep, or rest. This effectively triples the travel speed of the mount in terms of distance travelled per day. After the charm expires, the steed must rest one day for every three of unending travel.
