ARTIFACTS, FIRST AGE RELICS, and IMPORTANT ITEMS

Silencing of Breath, level 4 Soulsteel Grimcleaver

Unlike almost every other artifact of Soulsteel, the Silencing of Breath emits no moans nor screams from the souls within the dark blade. No sound at all escapes the blade, not the shifting of Silencer’s hands on the handle or the sound of it rushing through the air. Most terrifying of all, the blows of the Silencing of Breath never draw cries of pain from those they land upon. For that is one of the blade’s powers, anyone struck with it is silenced for one day, unable to make any sound at all. This effect is extended for one day per health level inflicted. When in the hands of a god or a person with the blood of a god in their veins, the Silencing of Breath can strike un-manifested spirits normally. In addition, the blade adds 2 to Silencer’s Stealth pools involving silent movement while he holds it, though he can speak most other sounds made by his movement are sucked in by the axe. Hazard Plate, level 3 Soulsteel Artifact

A combination of Soulsteel chain, plate and cloth woven of the baleful material by potent Charms, the armor worn by Silencer appears little more then a cobbled together scavenger’s collection of remains of more potent Artifacts. This impression is intentional, fitting with Silencer’s general appearance, still that of a rag-tag mercenary from the Scavenger Lands who has seen better times. The armor is heavy, but allows great freedom of movement, covering Silencer’s torso and most of his legs. He often raises a fold of Soulsteel weave as a cowl, letting only faintly luminous gray eyes shine from within the shadows. While in Hazard Plate, Silencer has his Strength raised by one. Commits for 4 motes.

Entropy Talisman, level 1 Soulsteel Artifact

A simple chain of Soulsteel, the Entropy Talisman is twisted so that the eye attempts to slide from it, the edges and links of the chain hard to determine. When touched, the chain is ice-cold at all times. The Talisman increases the effectiveness of all dice pool reduction Charms by one die. This increase counts toward the normal limit of the Charm and can only affect one Charm per turn. Commits for 2 motes.

Essence-Containing Gem, level 2 Crystal

Worn around Silencer’s neck, his Essence Gem contains seven motes and glows a bloody hue when not hidden by his armor and shroud.
