SuturedDefenseValue/LinguisticNormalization
Certain charms use strange linguistic contortions to explain enhancements to DV which may or may not be a result of the lack of an official name for "defense pool". This variant assumes that the intent of charms that "add half" of some value X to DV are really intended to act as pool adders (see DissectingDefenseValue) that add the full value of X to the pool, rather than success adders of half X. In most cases, this doesn't actually change anything; however a big difference between pool adders and success adders is when they are used in the Order of Modifers. It is possible for some effect (usually entropic magic) to reduce a pool below zero. In such cases, pool adders are weaker than an otherwise equivalent bonus from success adders, because success adders would essentially ignore entropic magic while pool adders would not.
Note that if this variation is used in addition toSuturedDefenseValue/SuccessConsistency variation, the charms that would be affected by it become much weaker, as they would be limited by dice caps, while standard success adders would not. This may be desirable.
