Although the Endless Desert of Cecylene may appear empty save endless sand dunes, this is misleading. It is only because she is infinite in scope and inhabited by a non-infinite number of beings. At various places in the infinite desert, demons and other visitors have constructed shelters. However, these often attract the attention of Cecylene's smaller souls, especially the Pathatu. These demons endlessly travel the wastes, searching for something to burn. They care not whether it takes a day to destroy that which is not the desert or a hundred years, they only know that the blight upon the desert must be destroyed. Many have been known to seek the edge of Cecylene to expand the desert: however, none have ever returned. Some of the Pathatu enjoy and endless game with the stomach bottle bugs: the Pathatu scorch the exterior of Malfeas and the stomach bottle bugs endlessly repair his flesh.
These demons may be attracted to Creation by a large fire or severe drought. Cause Fires love to follow them, although other creatures of flame find them distasteful. They have often been known to stop in battle, entranced by the destructive fury of a Fire Aspect. Although their handlers have long tried to rid them of this habit, it remains in most Pathatu.
