Spell research normally requires the manipulation of large quantities of dangerous Essence flows. This charm allows the internal Essence flows of the body to be studied as a miniature mirror of how a spell would play out with various configurations. Any failure of a spell research roll causes a bashing damage to the person doing the research. Any botch causes a level of aggravated damage instead.
