Prerequisite Charms: Flow Like Blood
The Solar evades uncannily, forcing attackers into disadvantagous positions as they attempt to strike him. While Flow Like Blood is active, this charm grants the charm Shadow Over Water a retaliation effect, resolved in step 9 of the attack. Choose one of the following effects:
    • Flowing Current Pull: Spending an additional mote causes a melee-range attacker to move (dodge) yards in a direction of the Solar defender's choice. This distance may be increased with excellenices. If the attacker does not have sufficient reflexive movment left in the tick, he must roll for knockdown at internal penalty equal do the number of required yards of movement not taken.
    • Twisting Current Extension: Spending an additional mote causes a melee-range attack to grant an additional -1 DV penalty to the attacker. This effect stacks.
    • Churning Current Reversal: Spending an additional mote causes melee-range attacker to be momentarily confused, stunning (2e core pg 153) him. This confusion also allows other characters to attempt to re-establish surprise against the target even if stealth would not normally be possible.
Only one of these effects may be given to a single invocation of Shadow Over Water. Characters may purchase additional techniques at the cost of 1 bonus point or 2xp, and other similar techniques may be added. Training time for new technique is the same as the initial charm training time.
