Scorpion and Toad Absolution

Prerequisite Charms: None
Lunars with this body learn to immunize their bodies against poisons which they experience. The Lunar can, by activating this Charm, convert his Essence into automatic successes to defend against any disease or poison she currently suffers from. This allows for an immediate roll to overcome the effects of the disease or toxin - if the roll is successful, the harmful effects are undone. The immunizing effects, with the dice converted for rolls to defend against that disease or poison, last for the remainder of the scene.

The Lunar enhances the his Natural Weapons and venom, by instantly creating poisonous glands in his body. This Charm increases the damage of the Lunar's poisons, adding 1 to their difficulty to resist, and the Lunar's Essence to its damage(half of it, rounding down, if resisted). If the Lunar does not possess a toxin to begin with, he receives a toxin with difficulty 2, damage equal to his essence, half if resisted, and no duration, as it deals no penalties.

Lunars can stop even the most indidious ways, like poison, from harming those they protect. The Lunar touches the body of a target and uses her knowledge of fluids and substances to draw a poison or disease to a specific place, which she cuts and then sucks in the poison. This frees the target from the disease or poison, giving the Lunar the poison, which she has to deal with on her own.

Lunars are able to create substances of legend within their body, supernatural poisons that only Gods and Demons can equal! This poison is created with 5 Substance Points when this Charm is first purchased, receiving 3 more points for every extra purchase, to a maximum of the Lunar's Manipulation.

The Venom starts at Difficulty 1 to be resist, Damage 0L if resisted, 1L if not, and giving a penalty of -1 to all actions for a turn. Substance Points may be spent on Damage, Difficulty to Resist, and the Penalty. Each point placed on Damage becomes 1L, if the victim does not resist. If the victim does resist, the damage is equal to half that, rounded down, to a minimum of 0. Each point placed on the difficulty to resist add +1 to it. Each point added to the penalty adds 1 to it OR increases its duration - every point may make the penalty last longer, in the following progression: 1 turn, 5 turns, 10 turns, 1 minute, 1 hour, 1 day, 1 Lunar Phase, 1 week, 1 Lunar Month. This way, the Lunar may customize his poison - some are extremely deadly, killing with a touch. Some are paralytic, rendering the victim unable to react during combat - or during a full week, in which the Lunar takes the victim prisioner. And some are simply extremely hard to resist, provoking certain injury. The Lunar has to pay 4 motes to create the substance, which she can use her poison in the following ways:

  • She may excrete it into a single weapon(including Natural Weapons), inflicting it upon the victim on her next successful attack.
  • She can milk it from her flesh, like harvesting venom from a snake, creating a dose for later use.
  • She can suffuse her fluids with it, giving its effects to anyone drinking or eating part of her body automatically.

The Lunar may also modify her poison in the following ways...

  • She may create a Contact poison. Halve the base damage, but it may be passed on by any touch, as simple as a handshake.
  • She may create a Non-Lethal poison. It deals Bashing Damage, but its damage increases by her Essence.

It costs nothing to make the poison either of those, but this cannot be changed later. This Charm is a Gift, and the Lunar can activate it by committing 4 motes when she enters a Hybrid Form, giving any of its Lethal Natural Weapons(any or all of them) the poison for the duration. The Natural Weapons(or the whole body, for a Contact Poison, or her suffused fluids) thus enhanced have no choice but to deal the poison, however.

Resplendent Liquids Mastery

Creation holds thousands of unique poisons and drugs, enough to make a dedicated hedonist or assassin despair at ever being them all on hand. But Lunars have shifting bodies that can create anything... including any number of different substances. Once the character has suffered the effects of a drug, substance or poison on her body, she may pay 1 experience point to become able to reproduce it. At character creation, a Lunar may pay 1 Bonus Point to have 3 substances. This costs a number of motes equal twice the substance's Resources value. The cost to generate a Disease is equal to its Virulence. The Lunar can use the substance in any many ways:

  • She may channel it directly in her system, feeling the effects immediatly.
  • She may excrete it into a single weapon(including Natural Weapons), inflicting it upon the victim on her next successful attack.
  • She can milk it from her flesh, like harvesting venom from a snake, creating a dose for later use.
  • She can suffuse her fluids with it, giving its effects to anyone drinking or eating part of her body automatically.

Burning Blood Mastery

Prerequisite Charms: Resplendent Liquids Mastery
In addition to using poisons and drugs, a Lunar can also master a myriad ways of using something greater than poison, acids. Burning Blood Mastery adds Acids and other damaging reagents to the list of substances the Lunar can, after experiencing them, create. The Lunar can use it with a touch, exuding acid from his palms, or spit it into foes. Acidic spit uses Athletics or Thrown, and has an Accuracy of -2, and a range of the Lunar's Strength in yards. The character may also invent his own Supernatural Acids, each of which requires 4 Experience Points or 2 Bonus Points to purchase. Examples include...

  • Burning Tar is a gummy, sickly green and sticky acid. It inflicts 8 lethal damage when inflicted on the opponent, and again every turn until removed. Scrapping off the acid is a dice action that requires no roll.
  • Foe-Softening Discharge is a clear, sharp-smelling secreation that does not inflict damage. When the acid strikes a foe, the Lunar chooses one of the target's Physical Attributes, Appearance or Perception and rolls(Manipulation+Essence) at a difficulty equal to the target Attribute. Success reduces it by one dot. Exalted recover one dot per week, but it is permanent for Mortals.
  • Steel-Eater is a dull-gray, watery acid that deals only 3 lethal damage to creatures and quickly loses its potence. Against objects, however, it deals 10 lethal damage, ignoring Hardness. Characters do nto soak this. Their weapons and armor do, with their damage and soak ratings, respectively. Each die of damage left afterward automatically reduces the object's damage or soak(or health levels, for objects neither weapon nor armor) by 1. Weapons reduced to 0 damage and armor reduced to 0 soak are utterly destroyed. Some weapons may be repaired, at the Storyteller's discretion.

Wave of Citrine Doom

Prerequisite Charms: Resplendent Liquids Mastery
The Lunar opens his mouth, and a wave of serpents pour forth. More than there should possibly be, they rise and fall in front of the Lunar, hissing, poison dripping. The Lunar rolls his Manipulation+Essence as an unblockable, undodgeable attack against all those in front of him, covering four times the Lunar’s Permanent Essence in yards, forming a 45-degree arc. The base damage of this attack is equal to twice the Lunar's Essence, and it carries the equivalent of Coral Snake Venom. However, the Lunar may wish to use any poison she can produce, on her Totem, via Resplendent Liquids Mastery or Silver-Named Poison.
