Disguise

Perfection of the Mockingbird
Cost: 4 mote
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Wits: 2
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: None
Even without a person's Heart's Blood, a Lunar can fool most people about her identity. When making an action to imitate another person's voice, habit or appearance, or just trying not to be recognized as herself, a Lunar can use this Charm to make the imitation supernaturally deceptive. The imitation sounds or looks perfect; No mundane sense can detect a flaw. Supernaturally perceptive creatures may try to see through the trick.

Hide of the Cunning Hunter
Cost: 1 mote
Duration: Indefinite
Type: Simple
Minimum Appearance: 1
Minimum Essence: 1
Prerequisite Charms: None.
This Charm is often the first that young Lunar learn. It allows the Lunar to supress his tatoos, causing them to become invisible. The Lunar can hide her tatoos, as well as any such marking features such as scars and blemishes and certain Mutations, anything else that might make one notice the Lunar too much, and none can perceive them even with the use of magic as long as this Charm is in effect. This includes all such features, including Tattooed Artifacts. Even charms that perceive essence see nothing. This effect fades as the Lunar reaches the Truth of Luna.

Clover Can't Be Found
Cost: 1 mote
Duration: One Scene
Type: Reflexive
Minimum Appearance: 2
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Hide of the Cunning Hunter
The Lunar changes his features for a moment, blanking them. He becomes nobody - a face to be overlooked. When the Lunar is in a crowd, he becomes just another one of them, and any roll to notice him in the crowd has a difficulty equal to the Lunar’s Permanent Essence, which also increases to the difficulty to perceive his Tell.

Chameleon Skin Disguise
Cost: 4 motes
Duration: One Scene
Type: Reflexive
Minimum Appearance: 3
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Clover Can't Be Found
Using this Charm, the Lunar is able to shift his skin like a Chameleon's, and adjust his texture and color to match the ambient. As long as the Lunar stands still or moves no more than half his total movement rating, he converts a number of dice equal to his Essence into automatic successes in any attempt to not be noticed. This is a supernatural effect, and the Lunar can roll to hide even if there is nowhere to do so. As long as he is against a background, the Lunar may as well be standing face-to-face to his opponent, and will still require said opponent to roll his Awareness against the Lunar’s Stealth for him to notice the Lunar, or miss his presence an inch from his nose, completely.

The Lunar cannot be clad in anything but Moonsilver for this Charm to function. As long as this Charm is active, anyone attempt to attack or otherwise interact with the Lunar receives a penalty equal to half the Lunar's Essence(round up), as he is barely more than a blur in the air even when he moves. This may be circumvented if an opponent decides not to look at the Lunar. Trying to avoid looking at the Lunar adds 2 to the difficulty of all actions involving the Lunar, including attacks and defenses. This Charm is a Gift and may be activated in when the Lunar shifts into a Hybrid Form. The Lunar may commit 2 motes to make the effects of this Charm last for as long as he remains in Hybrid Form.

Smile to the Moonless Night
Cost: 5 motes
Duration: One Scene
Type: Reflexive
Minimum Appearance: 2
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Hide of the Cunning Hunter
In a night of shadows and clouds, one cannot see the Moon. Luna disappears, and even those who know where she should stand see nothing but shadows. Out of mind, out of sight, the lady of pure silver light smiles as she avoids all the gazes of Creation. As long as Smile to the Moonless Night is active, the Tell is perfectly concealed, and none may roll to spot it if the Lunar is not in his True Forms. If the Lunar is in his True Forms, the difficulty to spot the Tell increases by the Lunar's Permanent Essence.

Subtle Silver Declaration
Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Appearance: 3
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Smile to the Moonless Night
Luna may flare in the moonless night, but when she does so, she issues an order, breaking her own truth with a subtle lie, and none but those who are completely in her thrall may notice her, only see the light falling upon them and wondering... why does it do so, if Luna is not in the sky? This Charm enhances Smile to the Moonless Night.

The Lunar's Tell will not become obvious when the Lunar's Anima Banner flares as long as Smile to the Moonless Night is in effect.

Essence-Masking Prana
Cost: 5 motes
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Appearance: 3
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Smile to the Moonless Night
The Lunar is able to hide his Essence as if it was his Tell or Tatoos - as long as this Charm is up, Charms that are able to see the Lunar's Permanent Essence or Essence Pool, such as Essence-Discerning Glance and the Arcanoi Aura-Reading Technique, see no Essence on the Lunar if they fail a resisted roll between the Lunar's Wits+Stealth and the onlooker's Wits+Awareness.

Hidden Moon Technique
Cost: 20 motes, 1 willpower, 1 health level
Duration: Indefinite
Type: Simple
Minimum Appearance: 4
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite Charms: Essence-Masking Prana, Smile to the Moonless Night
This Charm may only be used when the Lunar is not on his True Forms - he swallows his own Exalted Shard, locking it deep within his Essence. For the remainder of the scene, his Peripheral Essence is locked, and the Lunar may not access it. But it gives a great advantage: for all intents of investigation, even supernatural, the Lunar is not seen as an Exalted. No Charm may make his Anima flare, or reveal his Caste Mark, even if just in an individual's essence sight.

The only hope to notice a Lunar under this Charm's effects is to notice his Tell or to use effects that can perfectly pierce shapeshifting magic.

Flickering Star Infusion
Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Appearance: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Essence-Masking Prana
When a Lunar drinks the Heart's Blood of another and takes his face and life, the victim’s star flickers out and dies. They become invalid targets for Astrology and other effects that target them by name or specific identity. Many Lunars who must face Sidereals or infiltrate more esoteric places cannot bear this weakness in their perfect disguises.

All forms the Lunar acquires after learning this Charm keep their destinies intact: the moonchild devours it together with the victim's shape, although this destiny remains subordinate to the Lunar's own destiny and will. The shape is still a valid target for Astrology and any and all Sorcerous effects the target one by their trune name or identity, for good or bad. Ongoing effects, such as Astrology, affect the Lunar as soon as she shifts to the victim's form while Instant effects - such as Infallible Messenger - target the Lunar no matter her form, but she can feel as they are cast (and to whom they were cast!) and hide this Destiny within herself, negating it with the expenditure of 1 Willpower. The Lunar does not know what she has negated only to whom it was addressed.

Mask of Ambrosia
Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Appearance: 3
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Essence-Masking Prana
Lunars can do more than fade their own Essence. They can fade themselves into the shapes of Gods.

When the Lunar kills a Spirit after learning this Charm she receives a number of motes equal to the sum of the Spirit's Virtues as she devours her spiritual Existence (this will not permanently vanquish the Spirit unless the Lunar uses Charms to do so - but it will multiply the time until it recomposes by the Lunar's Essence) - this allows the Lunar to add the Spirit's shape to her Blood Library if she spends 1 Experience Point. The Lunar receives none of the Spirit's Charms but does receive the Spirit's Physical Attributes (when higher than her own - she can use her own otherwise), Appearance and innate Abilities. (such as Octavian's Oil, Berengiere's Landslide and Gumela's range - as well as all Divine Armor.)

Spirit shapes are always material when assumed by the Lunar.

She is also able to assume Spirit's shapes with more transient Charms such as Life of the Hummingbird.

Mask of Worlds Beyond
Cost: 5 motes
Duration: Indefinite
Type: Simple
Minimum Appearance: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Mask of Ambrosia
Altering the shape of her soul the Lunar attunes herself to the Essence of a foreign plane of whom she has at least one native in her Blood Library. This changes the physical shape of the Lunar in subtle ways - she will become darker and more gaunt when shifting hr shape to the Underworld, more terrible and alien with pieces of brass and shadow when shifting her shape to Malfeas, and so forth. As long as she is thus attuned she is treated as a denizen of this plane for all effects that target them and able to respire Essence in it as she would in Creation.

This Charm activates at no cost when the Lunar takes the shape of a denizen of such a realm.

Green Sun Child
Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Appearance: 4
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite Charms: Flickering Star Infusion, Mask of Worlds Beyond
No demon is a full creature. They are component souls, part of the immense geomancy that defines the creators of existence, the Primordials. A million invisible strings connect them, give them power, keep them in thrall. With the use of Green Sun Child, a Lunar becomes able to don the face of a Primordial Soul, shifting her geomancy to be part of that great whole. For other such souls and the Primordial Itself the Lunar appears to be the Soul she has taken the form of. She can hear the whispers of the Primordial on the back of her mind, and can even be taken over by it – although, unlike normal demons, she can spend 1 willpower to force herself out of the Demon’s shape rather than following the Yozi’s orders. She also becomes able to use the 'Gift' of the Primordial in this demon's shape – the one ability of the demon that is a direct channel of its parent’s power.

Mask of Hearth and Flame
Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Appearance: 3
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Essence-Masking Prana
Lunars can drink the blood of dragons and, with this Charm, take the shape of the Elemental Princes of the Earth!

Lunars can already take the shape of Terrestrial Exalted after drinking their hearts - but Lunars with this Charm can channel their very animas. As usual the Lunar receives none of the Terrestial's Charms but has their Physical Attributes (when higher than her own - she can use her own otherwise), Appearance and innate Abilities. (the effects of Permanent Charms that give visible changes in their shape.) But with this Charm the Lunar can flare the anima of the Dragon-Blooded and mantain their form up until the Bonfire level of anima display. The Lunar also receives the Anima Power of the mimicked Terrestrial and does not suffer surcharge to practice the Martial Arts aligned to their element while in this Form.

Mask of Hearth and Flame also allows the Lunar to use the Blood Power (and Anima, if applicable) of all manner of God-Blooded creatures.

Mantle of (Type) Radiance
Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Appearance: 4
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite Charms: Mask of Hearth and Flame
The raw power of the Celestial Exalted is harder for a Lunar to devour for it is in their Shards - far from their blood. But with the understanding of the mantle cast about their shapes the Lunar is able to draw those faint traces from Blood and manifest a simulacrum of the light they possessed in life!

As usual the Lunar receives none of the Celestial's Charms but has their Physical Attributes (when higher than her own - she can use her own otherwise), Appearance and innate Abilities. The Lunar can also receive the Anima Power of the mimicked Celestial for a number of turns equal to her Essence for the cost of 1 willpower and does not suffer surcharge to practice the Martial Arts aligned to their natures while in this Form. When activating this benefit in Lunar forms she can use the Anima for one scene.

The Mantle is actually Three different Charms:

  • Mantle of Empyrean Radiance for Celestial Exalted
  • Mantle of Fallen Radiance for Abyssal Exalted
  • Mantle of Broken Radiance for Infernal Exalted.
