Setting Details

  • Solar Anathema are usually regarded as just another threat. Since Creation is filled with many many scary things, Anathema are sort of a fact of life. The usual reaction is to run away, since people should run away from dangerous things, and Lunar Anathema cultivate this reaction very well. Still, flashing an Orichalcum weapon isn't an instant death sentence, and neither is glowing like a Solar. If one is polite about it, one might only be politely asked to leave. Some people might even think about how to bargain with Solars. Except places where the Immaculate Philosophy holds firm of course.
  • The Bull of the North scared the Realm pretty badly. While the Tepet legions suffered the most in the massacre, every House had contributed to the war against the Bull of the North and so suffered losses. As such, every House in some way or another has been persuaded to give support to the Immaculate Order, and thus the Wyld Hunt. The Realm is still fractured and there is the usual in-fighting after the appointment of the Regent, but each House understands to some degree that external threats loom and hence rein themselves in to some degree. The Wyld Hunt has been strengthened, so while many Anathema still slip their nets, when they descend, they descend with the full might of the Dragons.
  • The Guild no longer holds the monopoly on all mercantile interests. Over the years, they have bred enough contempt for rivals to rise up in various markets and these rivals manage to hold their own quite well, even against the attempts by the Guild to restablish their monopolies. As such, the Guild has major rivals in practically every direction of Creation in every market save one. The Guild still owns the monopoly on the slave trade. It is also still the only Creation-wide organisations and thus the largest trading organisation in Creation and still wields significant power.
