Ascending Fire

Day 14

Morning, had breakfast with the gang and headed out to check on that wierd monolith whatsit with Carodin, Strife and Blossom. We were briefed by Siaka and Ahlat, must see if I can get an invite to one of his parties by the way, and it all seems pretty spooky. Blossom is going to check it out with her lenses, and Strife has some new techniques that might help.

Day 14 - Afternoon

Just got back from the Monolith of Certain Doom. They had a warstrider wandering about in the mist, somehow we managed to not only get it to commit to an attack, but to defeat it handily. The pilot was a slip of a girl, no more than 12 years old, but a deathknight all the same. Had to bring her to an end, it was for the best I suppose but still wasn't a pleasant experience. Whoever her mistress was had a hissy fit then and decided to blow up the warstrider. Thankfully Carodin and Strife were up to the task of flinging it away, while Ivory caught the brunt of the blast. With a bit of luck the jolly giant can patch her up, if not she can have the bottle of celestial wine Holok gave me. Not sure as to how the monolith was affected by the blast, but it feels like a victory to me!

(In Bloody Scrawl) Do you hear the screams of your Sifu in the night little Starling? You have taken my child, but I will bear another. How will you replace this shadow of black ice? Come to me, that one of us may taste of vengence.

Day 15 - Morning

It seems that this document has been compromised, interesting. Ah well, it is of no matter really. I know the face of my enemy, and now it seems that it tries to goad me into rash action without thought for the consequences. Guess I'll be heading straight to the Underworld on a crazy rescue mission without any hint as to where I should be looking. Yes, that's exactly what my sifu would want me to do. I'd best go pack some provisions for the trip, should only take me a day or two to get there and back again.

Creation still lives, Fate and Destiny are woven still, all things come to their end, and then they are reborn.

Lunchtime

It seems that I've been invited to a martial arts tournament in Chiaroscuro on the 20th of Ascending Fire. It's run by the "Lords of Kobol", whoever they are. Could be interesting to see who turns up...
