Many are the strange beasts to come out of the Wyld, especially so in the West, where the Sea reigns supreme. One such race of mutants is known as the Sessile Folk, of which the Deep Folk of the West are but one subrace. Sessile Folk are sentient beings that lack the power to move, yet are sentient. Many are born of the Celesk Reef, where the vast majority of their kith and kin can be found. Sessile Folk have magic of mental communication and the sharing of memories, which can be quite effective at fighting off predators.
Other Sessile Folk include the Treemen of the East, the Fire Pillars of the South, and the Rocks That Float Above the North, in, as one might expect, the North.
