The Niaska
The Niaska are an unfinished project. Everything here is subject to revision at any moment.
The Tribe
The Niaska are a peaceful people, compared to the other barbarian hordes and tribes that dwell in Creation. They do not start wars or battles and they never pillage and raid. Under the tutelage and mentorship of their Lunar Exalted God and his Niaska-ja, they have learned honor, glory and justice in a peaceful way, without leaving their barbarian heritage. Long ago, they were the weak of the tribes, strong enough to survive, weak enough to be distraught every time another tribe decided to use them for their own purposes. With the coming of their Lunar Exalted God and his warriors, they learned how to hide, how to fight with stealth and cunning and wisdom, instead of brutality and savagery. They are one of the few tribes that have learned a peaceful path, and their God would sooner perish than watch them suffer again the vicious path of the other barbarian hordes. At times, civilization is honorless, but there is a truth to it as well. They have learned this.
Villager
The average niaska doesn't really know how to fight. There's no need for it. The only dangerous skill they possess is their archery, though they use that mainly for hunting food animals and recreation. They can be violent if need be, but they will usually leave that sort of thing for the warriors of their villages, and the Niaska-ja.

Warrior
Some niaska, most notably those that have dedicated their lives to the preservation of their people, do know how to fight. These are the niaska's warriors. Those not terribly skilled, they are enough to assist the Niaska-ja when trouble comes calling to their villages.

Wyld Mutations
These are mutations of the original niaska, and do not count for the race as a whole. They have been present in every niaska since the first one came back from a wyld trip.
Eye-Color: Niaska have eagle like eyes, they have heightened visual acuity. They can see twice as far as normal in all conditions, gaining two dice on all vision related Perception checks.
Skin Color: They have, due to heritage and wyld-mutations, a clear tint of blue to their skin and their hair is abnormally white, not the silver of older people's grey hair, but a startlingly stark white.
Chameleon: The Niaska may shift their skin patterns and coloration to match their surroundings. This allows their players to add three dice to any Stealth rolls involving evading visual detection and one die to all Survival rolls.
The Niaska-ja
Volitant Justice's children. Virca totemed beastmen, each village of the Niaska has a Leader and Keeper. The Keeper is in charge of the tribe in peaceful times, while the Leader is in charge of defense and battles.
