- +1 difficulty to resist knockdown caused by this weapon.
- steals 1 mote upon damaging a living target.
- at least half the committed essence MUST be drawn from the personal essence pool.
The blade of this reaper daiklave is a true wonder of first age alchemy. A sample was taken of the breath of each of the Elemental Dragons Air, Earth, Fire, Water, and Wood. These essences were refined and infused into an adamant blade of phenomenal craftsmanship. The hilt is composed of yellow jade, chosen for the fact that it is not itself aspected toward any one element, thus preserving the elemental balance present in the blade. Carved into the visage of a great dragon, the guard is the open roaring mouth with the forepaws as the quillions, with the hindpaws forming a hearthstone socket at the pommel, and the tail wrapping around the wrist of the wielder.
When inactive the blade appears to be a flawlessly pure shard of adamant, and while it is a perfectly serviceable reaper daiklave of normal, if amazingly beautiful, craftsmanship, it is only when an additional 5 motes of personal essence is committed that the blade awakens to it's true potential. In this state every movement of the blade is trailed by a crackling fan of elemental essence that seeps into any injuries caused, and sears flesh with the breath of Gaia's most magnificent servants.
Mechanically, this is a reaper daiklave that has all the secondary alchemies of the different colors of jade found on page 21 of Oadenol's Codex. I like the visual aspect of a blade like this being used with Even Blade Style.
