Raccoon/Society
A Society of Heaven: A possible potential future Bleach campaign
A newly formed group in Heaven, based in its own pocket of it, consists mainly of young Sidereals. They are mostly isolated from the rest of heaven, instead chosen to build, maintain and operate a Society meant to protect the mortals and Exalted from the dangers of the 'Hollows'. Only the newly Sidereal Exalted are brought to the Society and trained, mainly because they seek to use a different from of combat and such, but also for reasons that aren't abundantly clear by any but the Supreme Commander and his Council. (Older Sidereal seem to be a bit corrupt ^.^)
The Society: The Society is currently like a small city, but with the ability to expand as more Sidereals are recruited. A large central tower that overlooks the entire Society is in the middle, with smaller buildings around it, expanding outwards in a circle. A barrier that causes 10 levels of Aggravated damage to anything that attempts to cross it, forms a sphere with space both above and below the Society. Only the Spirit Gates bypass this barrier, and only a member of the Society has the necessary charm to unlock them.
Soul Slayers: Soul Slayers are Artifact 5 weapons forged not by smiths but by the Sidereal's own essence. The weapon forged is determined by the Sidereal's abilities, both present and future (in other words, whatever the player thinks ^.^). This forging of the Soul Slayer is part of the Initiation into the Society, and it is guided by the Sidereal's seniors to include a slotting for a hearthstone and necessary components. All Soul Slayers are sentient, and each have a name. They even have a incorporeal manifestation for the wielder alone, so they each have a specific shape, whether it be a person, an animal, or something else.
Each Soul Slayer has three forms, though it is not guaranteed that each Sidereal will manage the second form, much less the third. The first form is simply a 'Soul Slayer', the second form is 'Senkai' and the third form is 'Bankai'. Each form is much stronger than the last, and each form means the Soul Slayer has a physical transformation.
A Soul Slayer shares its essence with its wielder, and is permanently attuned due to a bond to the soul of the Sidereal wielder. As such, the Sidereal doesn't feel complete unless the Soul Slayer is at least nearby, if not on hand.
(+1 Permanent Essence in 'Soul Slayer' form, +2 in 'Senkai', and +3 in 'Bankai'?)
Spirit Gates: There are numerous gates around the reclusive Society. These are locked at all times, and can only be unlocked by a charm that 'graduated' Sidereals are taught. The gates can be reconfigured in the central tower to appear just about anywhere, though there is nothing exact to it. The gate could appear miles away from the location the Sidereal needs to go... or hundreds of feet in the air (the latter is pretty rare, but has been known to happen).
These gates appear to be simple wooden panels that open outwards. A 'welcoming area' between the entrance and exit of the gate is maintained by fledgling members of the Society, those with low levels of essence or those only truly suited to healing. They offer food, medical attention, and whatever else is needed to returning squads. Departing squads on the other hand may need a special charm to get down from the gate in those special instances where they are high up or something similar.
Society Members: There is no particular name for the members of the Society (They aren't 'Death Gods'), though there is no guarantee that no nicknames will form. A Sidereal that 'graduates' from the beginning courses and claims their Soul Slayer is assigned to a squad. These squads are then mainly sent out into the world to locate and destroy 'Hollows' wherever they choose to manifest. As there is limited ability to track a 'Hollow' before they have manifested, it is the hope of the leadership of the Society to have enough squads to cover general areas.
General squads are not assigned a leader, though its most promising member may be given the role. These groups operate in an area, taking out 'Hollows' as they appear, but generally remaining relaxed the rest of the time.
More specialized groups such as the fast response teams and the special forces are under the supervision of a more experienced Captain and Vice-Captain. The fast response teams answer calls from general squads that are being overwhelmed by a particularly nasty 'Hollow', or one that brought friends.
