Chujin Vomis is the bastard son of two monks of the Immaculate temple in Eagle's Launch. Both parents were stripped of their station, and Chujin grew up apprenticing to the funeral director of the temple, as Vomis' father had been his former assistant. Vomis showed a knack for preparing bodies, and his demeanor and faith that a good soul would eventually ascend to the bodisattva status of the Dragon-Blooded often helped the citizens of Eagle's Launch deal with their grief.
Vomis also showed a disturbing facility for knowing when danger was coming long before accident happened. He mentioned that a young monk named Keset who had just left for Glalo, a town in Eagle Prefecture, less than four days prior, was very ill. Two weeks later, the town father of Glalo sent a messenger to Eagle's Launch saying Keset had been found on the outskirts of town, deathly ill, and had died the day after. Three months later, Vomis was found preparing for a funeral when none were scheduled. When asked why, Vomis only stated he had a feeling it would be needed soon. A day later, one of the eldest monks suffered a heart attack during morning exercises and died.
The Exaltation was regarded as a relief, and one of the few Chosen of Saturn in the Bronze faction at the time took Vomis in, informing his former sifu that Vomis showed a talent for divination and would have to be brought to the Palace Sublime for further training. Vomis spent the next six years in and out of Yu-Shan and the Palace, learning the trade of a Sidereal Exalted and a Chosen of Saturn. His talent for astrology was deemed acceptable, his martial skill was impeccable, and his knowledge of anatomy and physiology was considered apropos.
His first assignment for the Bronze faction (as if he could in good mind join the Gold!) was to deal with an outbreak of hungry ghosts in Arjuf, and to handle the entity which had allowed them in Creation. Vomis took a beating, but he returned with the howling ghosts silenced and a mortal sorcerer in service to the Deathlords returned to the cycle of reincarnation.
Somewhere, however, he offended a higher-up. Vomis is unsure of just what that offense was (though he privately jokes to himself that maybe he didn't fill out the proper paperwork), but his salary in Heaven has been cut to probationary status, and his sifu has sent him to the West, a Direction full of nothing but the angry, hungry dead and the Wyld, and is expected to return with it tamed, exorcised, and in working order.
Acquaintances : A few Immaculate monks in the local temple.\\ Allies : Mnemon Juin, Immaculate monk and former sifu before Vomis' Exaltation; Demanding and strict.\\ Sifu : Takist Tanith, Vomis' current sifu; Equally demanding and strict, with just a touch of sadistic.\\
