Bureau of Destiny Style

The form weapons of this style are any weapons made of starmetal.

This style is Celestial Martial Arts except when noted otherwise. To aid in decipherment, Charm prerequisites in italics indicate prerequisites from other sections of the style. This style is not compatible with armor except when noted otherwise.

Certain Charms of this style give the user Paradox points, either as a cost or an effect. The rules for these dots appear in Exalted: the Sidereals. Exalts who are not licensed to weave Fate are more susceptible to the censure of the Pattern Spiders; they receive one additional point of Paradox whenever they would receive points of Paradox from this style.

The adept knows the truth -- that every moment is a pathway forward. He proceeds.

This Charm has two modes. In the first mode, this Charm has an instant duration; the adept may activate it and spend any number of motes to gain one-third that many boons. He may have no more boons granted by this Charm than the total dots he has in the Colleges of the House of Journeys.

In the second mode, this Charm has a duration of one scene; while it is active, the adept may reflexively spend a boon granted by this Charm to move his Essence in yards in a straight line. He may not forego any portion of this movement, and once he has spent a boon, all further boons that turn must be spent on travelling in roughly the same direction. Each time he does so, he gains 2 motes. Boons granted by this Charm are lost at the rate of one per hour.

In addition, while this Charm is active, the adept doubles his movement speed, and may walk on surfaces too yielding or unstable to hold him without a stunt.

This is a Posture-type Charm. It may not be activated while another Posture-type Charm is active. This Charm is Sidereal Martial Arts.

The adept knows the truth -- that every moment is an opportunity to rejoice. He dances.

This Charm has two modes. In the first mode, this Charm has an instant duration; the adept may activate it and spend any number of motes to gain one-third that many boons. He may have no more boons granted by this Charm than the total dots he has in the Colleges of the House of Serenity.

In the second mode, this Charm has a duration of one scene; while it is active, the adept may spend a boon granted by this Charm to add a die to a stunt bonus he is being granted. This increases the Essence recovery (though not the Willpower recovery) just as if the stunt had originally granted that many dice, and may take a stunt above three dice. Boons granted by this Charm are lost at the rate of one per hour.

In addition, while this Charm is active, the adept ignores wound penalties, and may parry lethal attacks barehanded without a stunt.

This is a Posture-type Charm. It may not be activated while another Posture-type Charm is active. This Charm is Sidereal Martial Arts.

Any defenses he has already used against this attack may not be used by his unfortunate ally.

The Quiver

Duration: One scene
Type: Simple
Min. MA:

The Gauntlet

Cost: 4m
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Min. MA:

Cost: 12m 1wp
Duration: One scene

Prereq Charms: All five Postures

The adept knows the truth -- that every moment is fated to be what it is. With Pattern Spider eyes, he looks all around him, and sees only his own manipulations.

While this Charm is active, the adept may spend boons granted by Charms in this style as if he had those Charms active.

In addition, the adept paddles with his fingers in the warp and weft of fate, arranging the threads to his whim. When this Charm is activated, the adept rolls Manipulation + Craft (Fate), gaining boons equal to the number of successes. He may reflexively spend one boon granted by this Charm and gain one dot of Paradox to loudly declare that a Martial Arts attack or defense he is about to make will be perfect. It becomes so. Alternately, he may spend boons granted by this Charm as if they were boons granted by another Charm in this style. Boons granted by this Charm are lost when the Charm is deactivated.

This is a Form-type Charm. It may not be activated while another Form-type Charm is active. This Charm is Sidereal Martial Arts.
