Honmai

Honmai is a beautiful land of fertile fields, lush forests and gentle, rolling mountains. Since the earliest years of the Shogunate Honmai has been viewed as a pleasant backwater, a place for aging soldiers and retired diplomats to wile away a season enjoying the temperate climate and peaceful culture. All this changed with the coming of the Contagion. Farmers died alongside their oxen in the fields. The halls of Honming Palace stood empty, filled with the echoes of dying courtiers. The land of Honmai became infested with the restless dead, but time eventually conquered the hordes of hungry ghosts, granting oblivion if not peace.

Eventually the ravaged population began to recover and the terraced fields filled once more with crops of beans, barley and rice. In Realm Year 100 the jade bells of Kodai Monastery rang once again for the first time in over a century.
