5th Resplendent Air
The weather has been getting colder as winter sets in, and this day is the coldest yet.
Savvy, the girl from the Southern heat, decides to go a-hunting for some kind of aquatic creature bigger than a cat.
Scarred continues a-drinking.
Phinnae continues a-captaining.
Jade Wisdom keeps a-meditating.
After a few hours, Savvy realises she is getting very, very cold in the icy water, but is thankful she hasn't drowned.
Suddenly a multi-hued, multi-winged cherub pops into existance by Scarred's head. It whispers into the startled Solar's ear a message from Taros. "Hope you've been successful. See you soon!". Strangely the Dynast has never seen nor heard of such things and has to have it explained to him by the extremely knowledgable Jadeborn.
Another hour or so passes in cold contemplation when Scarred notices some frantic splashing in the river some dozen yards from the yacht. It is Savvy, beginning to struggle against the cold and drowning after an unsuccessful hunt! The Solar jumps in to rescue her, using his magic gourd as a handy floatation device. He manages to get the Lunar girl back aboard with little effort. She is suffering from mild hypothermia and so is put into bed with her slave girls to "warm her up" while Jade Wisdom makes her some tea.
The rest of the day is uneventful as the rest of the yacht's inhabitants listen to the strange giggles and occasional cries from Savvy's bedroom...
