The Sharingan Eye
Artifact ••••
Orichalcum and Starmetal Occular Replacement
Commitment: 10 motes*
The Sharingan Eye, also called the Mirror-Wheel Eye is a step short of a legendary Artifact, crafted in the First Age by a powerful, but severely limited Twilight Artificier whom found he was lacking in Sorcerous and Martial abilities, but excelled in Mental tasks. The orb, lovingly crafted from the Sun's gold and the Maiden's steel is fashioned as a normal eye, the golden surface unadorned beyond the three Starmetal lotus pedals ringing the iris. As beautiful as the Eye itself is the power it possesses becomes appearant when it's owner sacrifices one of his eyes to weild the power. When uncovered the Sharingan Eye readily reads the world around it, mimicking and distilling the information to the Exalt. While this does little outside of combat in battle the power blossoms full. Nearly as if thought and skill of the Exalt itself the Eye readily discerns skill and Charm, identifies Sorcery and mettle and bestows this knowledge to the Exalt for them to wield as they will. Given a moment to watch their opponent an unskilled Exalt can pick up a sword and battle as well as his enemy, can cast a spell as well as the opposing Warlock.
There is a drawback to this powerful Artifact, though, as the creator found left activate at all times often assimilates too much knowledge can can send the user into a cataonic state if active in places where many people are about or working. While this is not fatal it does last until the eye is covered, either by accident or by a Circlemate, and the character has had a full night's rest.
The Solar using the Sharingan Eye can discern and duplicate any skills used against him in battle. Charms, Spells and abilities can be duplicated, fueled by the Solar's own Essence. The Eye always uses the Solar's own ability over it's enemy, unless the Solar posses a lower score or no rating at all (before Specialties are applied). This mechanically increases the difficulty to attack the Solar by a base of 3 or up to the Exalt's own Permanent Essence score (to reflect mirroring an Enemies' style). The limits to the Eye are few, but cannot overcome natural limits of the Exalt. Charms or Spells that have a higher minimum Essence than the character cannot be reflected (though perhaps blocked) and gained knowledge only lasts a turn (though use of the knowledge and any activation of Charms is as a free Reflexive action that doesn't take up the Exalt's charm for the turn.) While one-on-one is the preferred when using the Mirror-Wheel Eye multiple opponents can be fought, though it can only discern skills from those that have a lower Inititive than the character and only one Charm or Spell can be used from them, but abilities can be discerned from each to activate the increased difficulty in combat if wanted.
- = Only when uncovered, if the Eye is covered the committed motes are released and the magic disaptes.

- Melange
Resources 2 (4 Outside the Realm)
Melange ('Spice'), the geriatric spice, found naturally occuring deep in the deserts of the South the Dune People have long known what the Realm is slowly discovering. Daily doses of this powerful drug will subtly increase the life span of the user as well as augment their health to a degree many natural diseases will no longer take hold and cause illness. While doses taken with food or mixed in drinks (the spice itself has a slight cinnamon flavor) show little signs of side effects there are many tribes in the deserts that show signs of being saturated with Spice from birth. Marked by shocking, vivid blue eyes that glow faintly in the dark (Pox: Eye Color) many Realm scholars believe this to be a sign the Spice is not naturally occuring but a mark of the Wyld encroaching further into Creation.
Even if that is the case Melange is quickly finding a wider user base within the Realm, from Terrestrials in office to patricians, it is often found at House Cynus parties, used to 'flavor' the food without actually speaking of what it is.
System: Use of Melange augments no dice rolls, but for every year of daily use the character's age extends by a year and most non-lethal illnesses will not be able to affect the character. Dosage can be increased to quickly add years to one's life, but the cost outside of the South and the speed with which Melange addiction can be detected deters many from dosing so liberally.
