Elder Tiger Style
By Thinker
Background
Practiced by Elder Solar Exalted in the First Age, who favored the cunning and deadly movements of the Tiger, but had outgrown the original Tiger Style. It was their attempt to ape the Sidereal's Secret Styles and though it lacks some of their polish and insight of the Sidereal's Martial Arts its power cannot be denied. These are not Secret Martial Arts Charms and all Celestial Exalted learn them as standard Celestial Martial Arts Charms.
Charms
Celestial Claws
Cost: 20 motes, 1 willpower Duration: One Scene Type: Simple Min. Martial Arts: 5 Min. Essence: 4 Prereqs: None
Focusing the power of their Essence through their hands in soul shattering levels of power the Solar Exalted changes the base damage of any unarmed Martial Arts attack they make for the rest of the scene to their Permanent Essence Aggravated.
Feline Hero Swipe
Cost:10 motes Duration: One Turn Type: Supplemental Min. Martial Arts: 5 Min. Essence: 5 Prereqs: Celestial Claws
Pouring crushing amounts of Essence through their hands, the character enhances each and every unarmed attack they make during the turn that it is activated in. Attacks made enhanced by this Charm are so fast a vicious that they may be neither dodged nor parried.
Invulnerable Hide
Cost:10 motes Duration: Essence Turns Type: Reflexive Min. Martial Arts: 5 Min. Essence: 4 Prereqs: None
This Charm hardens the skin of the Solar Exalted to immensely strong proportions, making them immune to all Bashing Damage, and halving the pre-soak damage of Lethal attacks while it is active.
Crouching Defensive Stance
Cost:10 motes Duration: Essence Turns Type: Simple Min. Martial Arts: 5 Min. Essence: 5 Prereqs: Invulnerable Hide
The Exalt drops into a defensive stance, and activates this Charm. It lasts up to the Exalts Essence in turns as long as they take a full dice action each turn to maintain it. This only counts as Charm usage in the turn that it is activated and other Charms may be used to take actions, so long as the Character uses a full action each turn maintaining the stance. Maintaining the stance is a Martial Arts action. As long as the stance is maintained they are impervious from all damage, as if they had activated the Adamant Skin Technique against each and every attack made against them.
Elder Tiger Form
Cost:16 motes, 1 Willpower Duration: One Scene Type: Simple Min. Martial Arts: 5 Min. Essence: 5 Prereqs: Crouching Defensive Stance,Feline Hero Swipe, Angry Predator Frenzy Style (All of Tiger Style)
Adopting the pose and attitude of the Primordial predecessors to the lesser creatures that man calls Tigers in the Age of Sorrows they become nearly invulnerable to damage, and capable of nearly unlimited amounts of death-dealing. The Character under the effects of this Charm may add 12 to their natural Aggravated soak, and gains the benefits of Invulnerable Tiger Hide and Feline Hero Swipe each turn. Elder Tiger Form is explicitly compatible with Tiger Form and may be activated before or after that Charm, and neither Charm disrupts the operation of the other. This is an explicit exception to the proviso below.\\ Characters may only use a Single Martial Arts Form Charm at a time. If another such Charm is activated while the Elder Tiger Form is active then it is immediately canceled and replaced by the new Charm.
Pouncing Cat Attack
Cost:10 motes, 1 willpower Duration: Instant Type: Reflexive Min. Martial Arts: 6 Min. Essence: 6 Prereqs: Elder Tiger Form
The Solar Exalted leaps upon a single visible opponent making a Martial Arts attack at their full Dexterity + Martial Arts dice pool. This attack is reflexive and as such functions outside the normal order of initiative. This is not an initiative effecting Charm and the characters regular action remains at its normal place in the initiative order. As such it is not effected by and does not interact with Charms such as Secrets of Future Strife, Thunderclap Rush Attack, or Twisting Surprise Attack.
Stalking Primordial Attack
Cost:10 motes, 1 willpower Duration: Indefinite Type: Simple Min. Martial Arts: 6 Min. Essence: 6 Prereqs: Elder Tiger Form
The Exalt using this Charm focuses their rage upon a target and fades from view. Until they attack that target they are totally invisible and undetectable by anything less than a Perfect Effect (Such as All-Seeing Eye of the Unconquered Sun). This effect only lasts as long as they are genuinely attempting to move into a position to attack their target, and is shattered if they attempt to use it to spy on, trail them, escape from a situation, or attack anyone except the target. When they make their first attack against the target they must roll Dexterity + Stealth, against a difficulty of their targets Awareness. If they succeed then the target may not use any non-soak defenses against the attack at all. The combat proceeds as normal from that point out.
Body Shattering Bite
Cost:16 motes, 1 willpower Duration: One Scene Type: Simple Min. Martial Arts: 6 Min. Essence: 6 Prereqs: Stalking Primordial Attack
This deadly Charm allows the Martial Artist to double all their Martial Arts attack dice pools and base damage for the rest of the scene, by taking upon themselves the ferocity of the Primeval Cats. However this also halves their own defensive dice pools.
Blurred Predator Speed
Cost:18 motes, 1 willpower Duration: Instant Type: Simple Min. Martial Arts: 6 Min. Essence: 7 Prereqs: Pouncing Cat Attack, Body Shattering Bite
The Exalt gains the unearthly speed of the Primordial Hunting Cats, both in body and soul. They may take two Fully Independent Actions each turn (as defined by Charcoal March of Spiders Form). Each action is fully compatible with Extra-Action type Charms, so a character using this Charm in conjunction with Angry Predator Frenzy Style gains two separate Martial Arts dice pools in each of their two actions. Additionally any time they make a counterattack (Via Solar Counterattack, Cannibalistic Heritage Method, Angry Predator Frenzy Style, etc) they may double their attack successes on any counterattack and if it succeeds the results are applied twice.
