Crashing Serpentine Dragon Style

Dragon Coils In</b>

The Dragon is wise. When a a comet falls from Heaven the Dragon does not simply step aside, in hopes of being out of reach, nor does the Dragon simply push the comet aside, assuming his strength can set him against Heaven, instead, the Dragon Coils In. The body collapses, twisting inward, while the limbs spiral against the attack; pulling the force aside and removing the Dragon from harm's way.

Effect: Character may add a number of dice equal to her MA score to a single Parry or Dodge attempt from an attack she is aware of. Explicitly does not allow parrying of Lethal attacks without stunt.


Dragon Coils Out</b>

The Dragon has no need to suffer fools lightly. An attack on a Dragon invites the Dragon to attack back at his foe. As the Dragon has Coiled from his foe his force is now wound tight. Body straightening and spiraling out of the Coil, the limbs unfold, lashing out against the attacker.

Effect: Upon a succesful Dodge or Parry of a non-Ranged combat attack the character may lash back with a standard attack. May be used as many times per turn as can be afforded, but does not work in response to other Counter-Attack Charms.


Crash of the Dragon's Tail</b>

The Dragon's Coils hold the force of the Earth and Seas. Not merely for reacting, the coil can be unwound upon any foe. The body is stretched long with the sweep of the limbs wide and circling, to crash upon the foe and throw him to the Winds.

Effect: The character's attack does normal damage, and hurls the enemy a number of yards equal to presoak health damage. Target takes dice of Bashing damage equal to number of yards she would have continued flying if she hits an object, and may take Lethal damage depending on surface struck


Dragon's Talons Lead the Way</b>

The Dragon knows the true path of the warrior is to crush his foes, and the Dragon's Talons always lead the way to the path. The Talons of the Dragon harness the energy of an Inferno and a Tornado crashing down to crush his foe.

Effect: The character doubles the amount of damage done after extra successes are added but before soak.

The Dragon is master of many things. Once her body folds like the Winds and is as responsive as the Waves, once her limbs hold the strength of the Stones and weave flickering like the Flames, once her being is as vibrant as the Leaves, then the student is truly on the path of the Crashing Serpentine Dragon. The student's body is infused with the energy of a Dragon, her body twists gracefully while moving and her limbs shift sinuously, prepared for any attack and to drop any attacker.

Effect: While holding this form the character recieves a free Dodge or Parry attempt on any incoming attack she is aware of. On a successful Dodge or Parry the character lashes back with a dice pool of Essence+Extra Successes from the DodgeMartialArts/Parry. If this attack is successful the target flys a number of yards equal to the extra successes of the counter attack, taking dice of Bashing damage equal to number of yards she would have continued flying if she hits an object, and may take Lethal damage depending on surface struck. Also while in this form, all successful attacks, including the reflexive counter attack, crash into the enemy causing a knockdown the target must use an action to rise from.


Flickeringly Inflicting Coils of the Fire Dragon</b>

Prereqs: Crashing Serpentine Dragon Form

As flames burn all in their path, so too are the coils of the fire dragon naught but burning pain to their foes. The dragon unfurls his striking limb, spiraling and driving, with the force of an explosion and speed of a brushfire. It catches all in its path and destroys whatever impedes it.

Effect: An attack made with the coils of the fire dragon inflicts lethal damage and cannot be blocked, only dodged. An attempt to parry will add the success of the parry to the damage of the attack.


Many Whipping Coils of the Air Dragon</b>
<b>Cost: 2 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental

Min. Essence: 2
Prereqs: Crashing Serpentine Dragon Form

As the winds buffet from all sides, biting and deep, so too are the coils of the air dragon found lashing at all sides of their target, slashing and painful.

Effect: An attack made with the coils of the air dragon cannot be dodged, only parried. This attack does lethal damage.


Mighty and Shattering Coils of the Earth Dragon</b>

Prereqs: Crashing Serpentine Dragon Form

As stones are sharp and hard, so too are the mighty coils of the earth dragon. The dragon throws their all into an attack, shattering the foe and sending them flying.

Effect: An attack made with the coils of the earth dragon doubles the damage amount after extra sucesses are added but before soak, also sending the foe flying an equal number of yards and knocking them down.


Surging and Flexing Coils of the Water Dragon</b>

As waves break free and smash what holds them back, so too do the coils of the water dragon let nothing hold them back.

Effect: If anyone holds onto the character in any way, from a hand clasp to a sqeeze on the shoulder to a clinch attack the character can unleash the coils of the water dragon to break the hold and the attacker along with it. Damage is Lethal, inflicted for Wits+Essence.


Readily Thrashing Coils of the Wood Dragon</b>
<b>Cost: 5
Duration: Instant
Type: Reflexive
Min. Martial Arts: 5
Min. Essence: 2
Prereqs: Crashing Serpentine Dragon Form

As the boughs of the trees spring back to their place, so too are the coils of the wood dragon ready to crash down on any incoming attack.

Effect: Instead of directly trying to parry, the coils of the wood dragon spring a counter attack on top of the incoming, trying to knock it away or at least make the attacker pay. The character rolls Dex+Martial Arts to stirke, if both strikes are successful but the dragon's attack has more successes only the dragon's attack lands, otherwise damage is applied simultaniously. Cannot retaliate against any other counter-attack charms.


Ascending Dragon Uncoiled</b>

Prereqs: Flickeringly Inflicting Coils of the Fire Dragon, Many Whipping Coils of the Air Dragon, Mighty and Shattering Coils of the Earth Dragon, Surging and Flexing Coils of the Water Dragon, Readily Thrashing Coils of the Wood Dragon

The dragon is in all things, and anything it recieves it can return ten-fold.

Effect: To learn this charm all five of the Dragon Coil charms must be learned. Once activated, for the rest of the turn, the character has a parry at Dex+Martial Arts+Essence of any attack she is aware of, a successful parry returns to the attacker the damage they would have rolled against the defending attacker plus the extra success of the parry roll, in Aggravated damage.

Comments

I think the Form is a bit powerful. A persistant defense is Ability 5 Essence 3 for most Exalt types. Also, they usually cost a willpower. -Fifth
