The Avaricious Devourer of Ebon Curses and Crimson Oaths
In a forgotten tomb deep Within the Labyrinth, this dead god lies: yet to call it a god is to demean it’s magnificence, for it is one of those that created the gods, and for it to languish in a prison of death when it is beyond death is an insult, a crime, a travesty: and thus it’s sleep is fitful, and it’s waking times harsh. Partaking deeply of the essence of the night, all words sworn in hate where light shines not belong to it: all oaths sworn in the lifeblood of another so too give it strength, for it’s own oaths yearn to bring death to all that lies above, and drag all things into oblivion, that it may finally rest. To worship at it’s feet is to acknowledge that it is greater than all that lives, yea, and all that lives not; for it is a father & mother to all, and yields this knowledge with a cold, dead pride. It whispers of crimes yet to be committed, and mighty heroes drowning in blood, abandoned by the sun, its childe: so too does it will its agents to commit these crimes, and spread vengeance and despair where they tread.
To call his attention, it is best to use blood: your own, cast into the darkness where he sleeps. Visions may come to you, as the blood drains from your body, of what has been, or what is yet to come: To swear oaths of vengeance, casting your own blood as a surety, is to gain the favour of this dark, dead creature, greater than the gods: The night cloaks it in it's misery, and conceals the truths best left unspoken by those that do not yet comprehend the greater treasures of oblivion.
