Introduction

Marisa was considered the Shahs most loyal of servants, and behind the veil she wore, her beauty was rumored to be that of a Goddess. While none could say for sure what her face truly looked like, her sharp wit and powerful mind were wll known.

Since joining the Shahs court, she had brought with her a talent for organization and a fervent dislike of the Realm. Daily she councilled her Lord to join the other city-states in rebellion, citing their successes as evidence of the realms weakening structure, and each time the Shah just smiled and said "in time my beauty, in time."

Many in the desert city called her witch, fearing she had taken control of the Shah, but many more admired and loved her, for her generosity was bountiful, and many of her hand servants and body guards were raised up from the streets and given educations and a purpose. Each of her beloved servants proudly wore the Alabaster Crane symbol that was her mon, on their chest.

But no matter where a citizens opinion of the Lady of Alabaster Robes fell, all acknowledged her efficiency and intellect. She had discovered the Death Knight Assassin, and was gravely harmed before the accursed creature was slain, she brought Guild caravans to their distant city state, bringing new life back into the city. And it was she who foretold the liberation of the city-state of Bana Muntair at the hands of a Lion maned leader.

Love her or hate her, all of the cities people respected her.

Marisa of the Alabaster Veil, Changing Moon Bureaucrat

Why not a Bureaucrat? Sure a Lunar may never be the equal of an Abyssal, Solar, Sidereal or even Dragon-Blooded Bureaucrat, but that in no way makes them weak. Not by any stretch of the imagination. I used the Crane, because Cranes are often associated with justice, tradition and order. Cranes have also been seen as symbols of luck and fortune, which I brought to life with her habit of raising street people up to serve her.
