Initial Notes

Perception 2 focuses on the instinctual "sixth" sense and super-natural senses, then branches into wyld related charms.
Note: Evolution Charms will be marked with a dotted border, Charms with No prerequisites will be marked by Grey backgrounds.

This Charm is a process of bringing to the fore the Lunar Exalts animalistic perception of the world around them. With the initial Purchase of this Charm the Lunar may chose 1 of the following Evolutions freely, assuming they meet the necessary requirements. This charm and all of the evolutions become permanent, as the Lunar becomes instinctually aware of that aspect of life.

Time: (Wits 2, Essence 1)

The Lunar has an internal clock/calendar instinctively knowing the exact time of day, the Calendar day and month (both Immaculate and Lunar), and phase of the Moon.

Capricious Nature: (Perception 3, Essence 1)

An immediate, and drastic change in the weather, such as the possible onset of a sand storm, blizzard, tsunami, etc, can be sensed by the Lunar like any animal can before the strike of a Natural Disaster. The player may make a Perception + Survival roll. The number of successes indicates the amount of time the Lunar has to prepare, or warn others. One Success gives the Lunar a few turns to find safety; 2-4 successes give the Lunar that many corresponding minutes to react; 5+ successes gives the Lunar a far better scope of time to react, enabling him as much as 30 minutes to prepare for the oncoming disaster.

Super-Natural: (Perception 3, Essence 3)

The Lunar grows more in-tune with the natural order of his surroundings at all times, how the winds blow at times of the year, and even how the grass changes it hue. However, when a drastic change is made within the scope of the Lunars surroundings (up to Essence x 10 miles), or around an area to which they are intimately aware of (within an attuned demanse/manse, and up to its Level x 10 miles surrounding), regarding the natural order. The Lunar may make a Perception + Occult / Lore roll to determine what caused this change. Be it sorcery or astrology, to direct tinkering by ghosts and gods alike. 1 Success will merely indicate the change; 2-3 Successes will also verify the Changers nature (Sidereal, Ghost, etc) or the means the change was made (sorcery, astrology, etc), but not both; 4-5 successes will tell both; 6+ successes will then give a direct Scent of the offending individual which the Lunar may track, with +2 bonus dice on tracking rolls, if they chose to do so. Given the large area this sense covers, most offenders are long gone if they are not nearby.


Additional Notes

I liked the idea of Lunars being able to have an internal compass, weather sense, and wyld detector, but it was odd that none were permanents, and required essence to Power, especially when such effects are low powered, in every sense of the word. Thus (Item) Sensing Instincts was born, a set of very nifty permanents that are cheap to buy at Evolution cost.
