Cost: 8m, 1wp; Mins: Perception 5, Essence 3; Type: Simple.
Keywords: Combo-OK
Duration: One Scene
Prerequisites: Spirit Scenting Technique

Devil Restraining Grip
Cost: 7m, 1wp; Mins: Intelligence 4, Essence 3; Type: Supplemental.
Keywords: Combo-OK
Duration: Instant
Prerequisites: Spirit Scenting Technique

This charm allows a Lunar to make a single attack on a dematerialized spirit. If this attack is successful and deals at least one level of damage, the spirit is snared. It is chained by an intangible and indestructible essence chain to the spot where it was when it was struck. This chain extends up to the Lunar's Essence x3 in yards, though the Lunar can make it shorter. The spirit is forced to materialize; if the spirit cannot afford a materialization the Lunar must make up the deficit in motes. If the Lunar cannot afford that, the spirit remains immaterial, but still snared. The chain holds for a number of minutes equal to the Lunar's Essence.

Spirit-Rousing Howl
Cost: 7m, 1wp, 1xp; Mins: Intelligence 4, Essence 3; Type: Simple.
Keywords: Combo-OK
Duration: Instant
Prerequisites: Devil-Restraining Grip

This charm allows the Lunar to awaken and empower the least god of a given item, which will leave the itm and materialize. This requires a successful Intelligence + Occult roll with a Difficulty of (5 - the Resources value of the object) for manmade items, or a flat Difficulty 3 for natural objects. The least god is generally compliant and will answer questions, though it will likely not know much besides what has happened in the immediate presence of its object. For an additional experience point, the least god can be semi-permanently roused; this grants the object a blessing on the level of Lesser Wonder (see Thaumaturgy, 2e Exalted Core, pg139). The statistics of the least god may vary, but they are not generally very impressive. The only drawback is that whoever possesses the object afterwards may have to put up with a least god excited to be conscious and able to move around, and whom are not shy about telling the owner of the object where they would like to go. At the ST's discretion, this least god may serve as an Ally for the purposes of the background.

Talen-Forging Method
Cost: 10m, 1xp; Mins: Intelligence 5, Essence 4; Type: Simple.
Keywords: Combo-OK
Duration: Instant
Prerequisites: Spirit-Rousing Howl

This charm allows the Lunar to create a talen, a sort of low-level one-shot artifact. This requires a spirit to bind into the object (which can be the least god of the object, but does not have to be). The spirit should match the effect hoped for from the talen: an Air-elemental for a small Stealth bonus, and so forth. The binding ritual itself takes an hour and requires a successful Intelligence + Occult roll, Difficulty of (5 - the Resources cost of the object) for manmade items, or Difficulty 3 for natural items. As an option, the Lunar can bind one of her charms into the talen, though if he does he will be unable to use that charm until the talen is used. The chief benefit of the talen is that anyone can use it, even if they are mortal and completely oblivious to Essence. Using the talen requires only a moment of concentration. Once the talen is used, the spirit is released, and the item is purely mundane once more.
