Second Edition Lunars Now Perception

Heightened (Sense) Method

This is actually five charms, one for each sense. For all rolls involving this sense, the Lunar receives automatic successes equal to his permanent Essence.

Ever-Wary Fox Technique
Cost: 1m; Mins: Perception 4, Essence 2; Type: Reflexive.

Prerequisites: Any Perception Excellencies

This charm allows a Lunar certain success on any roll to notice impending danger, whether in or out of combat, or even when asleep.

Moonsilver Scenting Sense
Cost: 3m; Mins: Perception 4, Essence 3; Type: Simple.

Duration: One Hour
Prerequisites: Any Perception Excellency

This charm allows the Lunar to detect any moonsilver deposits within Perception + Essence miles. The Lunar makes a Perception + Awareness roll; more successes give a more accurate impression direction and distance.

Wyld Scenting Instinct
Cost: 3m; Mins: Perception 4, Essence 3; Type: Simple.

Prerequisites: Moonsilver Scenting Sense

This charm allows the Lunar to sense any Wyld taint in a region extending roughly Perception + Essence miles. This detects the presense of Wyld Mutants and Beastmen, the border between Creation and the Wyld, and even other Lunar Exalted. A Perception + Awareness roll is made; more successes provide more information.

Fish Eye Method
Cost: 3m; Mins: Perecption 3, Essence 2; Type: Simple.

This charm allows the Lunar to perceive fully 360 degrees around him. However, this comes at a price, as rolls to notice details are at +1 Difficulty.

This charm negates penalties for darkness, so long as that darkness is not absolute. The tiniest glimmer of starlight is more than enough to fully illuminate the area for the Lunar.

This charm allows the Lunar to see into the infrared part of the light spectrum, sensing the ambient heat. This enables him to see even in total darkness.

Rabbit Ear Technique

This charm allows a Lunar to track a target by hearing rather than by sight. This requires a Perception + Awareness roll, Difficulty 1 in the wilderness, 2 in a town or city, and 3 inside a structure.

This charm allows a Lunar to build a mental map of the surrounding areas using only her sense of hearing. A Perception + Awareness is made, with increasing accuracy and detail coming with more successes.

This charm allows a Lunar to distinguish, by scent, the family ties of a given individual with a Perception + Awareness roll. With five successes, the Lunar may even distinguish the hereditary qualities of the target's ancestors.

Blood on the Wind
Cost: 5m; Mins: Perception 5, Essence 3; Type: Simple.

Prerequisites: Blood-Kin Sense

This charm allows the Lunar to track a target by scent alone. Only a single success on a Perception + Survival roll is necessary to track the target. This charm qualifies as supernatural tracking for the purposes of countering Stealth charms.
